Saturday, September 11, 2010 5:31:46 AM This is nothing new. People die because a car hits them all the time. The so-called 'prank' is just an add-on. |

Thursday, September 09, 2010 10:42:21 AM At least Sunday_Scour got the idea. I was like 'Damn :(' at first. All the people saying 'This is fake' are the morons to go to watch a film about the Earth being destroyed to then come out and say 'That was fake' REALLY!? REALLY!? Just watch it and shut up. |

Thursday, September 09, 2010 3:15:21 AM And what does the blood have to do with anything? Are you telling me you can tell the difference between carotid artery and jugular vein? If anything it would be arterial blood from the external carotid artery (that supplies blood to the superficial head/neck region, but will not spurt too awefully far) to cause that much blood loss in such a short amount of time with a greater distance than a venous flow. There is no halo, so I cannot see any reason for it to be another blood source. Fail.

Thursday, September 09, 2010 3:08:19 AM You know Sunday, the point of shocks is not to keep the car from bouncing, it's to keep the wheels in constant contact with the ground. |

Thursday, September 09, 2010 2:01:48 AM The car has shocks so that bumps in the road do not cause the whole car to lift up; the front drivers side area does slightly rise as expected. The blood from her mouth would be venous blood which is dark like the video, not bright red. The trash cans do not shift. However, as Cracker Jack pointed out, although supposedly done in one continuous shot, the property outside the house goes from parking area to street for no reason. I looked up the case number in the Beverly Hills Superior Court record without finding a match. The acting was passable, but not compelling. The shots from a supposedly amateur camera person were too conveniently framed. You can expect any sort of reaction from a person experiencing or witnessing a trauma; there are no rules. Lastly, I was very fooled by the video even after several views, so I say it looks real. Summary: Pain felt, Artists made sort of famous: Mission accomplished. Bravo! Real death videos are intriguing and this video took me there. |

Thursday, September 09, 2010 1:58:28 AM The point has been missed. The effect intended by the makers of the video has been achieved; we all cringed a little bit at the moment of impact. Our sympathetic nervous system has been stimulated with the pain percieved to be felt by the girl. Regardless of the logical "Fake" vs "Not Fake", part of the brain is simulating a girl getting hit by a car, and the pain calculated goes to the sympathetic nervous system. We feel that there is a person there even if we know it's fake, like we feel for a doll or stuffed animal, and that is real enough to stimulate a sympathetic reaction. Also, the artists involved are now well known; they have differentiated themselves from the crowd. The physics are dead on. She got hit on the back of her leg by a slow moving vehicle which will cause her to collapse, not fly up. Also, her hips, being hit at an angle, rotate leaving her left hip nearest the front of the car face up. |

Thursday, September 09, 2010 1:52:44 AM JGsox33, As an EMT, I can totally vouch for people who will ALWAYS keep the camera rolling. Guess it's a cool video of a body and grieving family members to keep on your computer to show guests or the grandkids? But I do agree, it's totally fake. |

Wednesday, September 08, 2010 10:18:35 PM Seriously, it's fake. Terrible acting to be quite honest. About on the same level with horror movies these days. Also, just the way the girl turns around and her reaction, you can tell it's fake. Also, everyone talking about how did she get sucked under the car, without the car moving up. ALSO, who the hell would keep filming? I would've dropped the camera and sprinted. Also also, chances are she wouldn't have held the camera, ran down the stairs, got a perfect shot of her and the guy and all that hooplah... ugh. The guy who hit her isn't believable whatsoever. And obviously, the final touch was cutting it off as the guy was mid-sentence, making it "realistic." Easily a fake. |

Wednesday, September 08, 2010 8:01:26 AM The group has posted more "pranks gone wrong" under the same titles... Exhibit B4 etc. The fact that we even debate fake vs real shows that it was well done... but why? |
