I guess the idea is that you slide your wrist in, open the door, then slide your wrist out, assuming that the door pushes open, but this isn't more sanitary, because chances are people will grip it with their hands like a regular handle anyway. If the handle is to a stall, there's no point, because why would you worry about germs when (hopefully) you're going to wash your hands afterwards? It would only make sense if the handle was in a private room with a sink. |

if there's a phobia about 'germs'...most of the public have it...
1 Do you wash your hands after you pee in a urinal even if there's nobody else present? hygene guilt!
2 Have you ever ate in a fastfood resturaunt without washing your hands after paying with cash...the same 'cash' that was handled by countless people before you?...not to mention the door handle on the way in...
3 have you ever ate a piece of fruit away from your house without washing it OR your hands?
4 have you ever paid with cash and then ate a muffin/bun with a coffee and used your hands without washing them first?
probably not...and why not?....because you'd have 'obsessive compulsive disorder'. 'Germs', within reason are natural, they help our imune systems grow stronger with a few 'hicups' along the way... most are harmless
this unatural obsession with hygene and not wanting to appear 'dirty' to others is silly in my opinion... |

Bacteria spreads fairly quickly, so no matter HOW much you try to avoid it, as soon as you wrist touched this, within a half hour, you have that same bacteria on your hand.
All the sanitizing in the world DOESNT MATTER... Bacteria grow faster than the average person could sanitize the environment. About 98% of Bacteria found on common items is completely harmless. Fussing over things being "unsanitary" is a complete waste of energy. |

I'm not a germophobe, but I do try to avoid fecal coliform bacteria. I open the bathroom door with the paper towel used to dry my hands, then throw it on the floor. |
