Saturday, August 28, 2010 10:03:56 AM This is old... Remember the huge Tsunami in December of 2005 (?) in the indian ocean. Well all of these fish washed up because of that. I remember seeing these same pictures whenI was in 4th grade... no lie. |

Friday, August 27, 2010 11:33:25 AM But this has extremely little research, it's like someone googled "Weird Fish" and made a list. |

Friday, August 27, 2010 5:48:07 AM Seriously, should I totally geek out? Essentially the only animals in that photo which are relatively "Prehistoric" would be the giant isopod, the squid, mind you the prehistoric version had a shell. The crab, well sort of, but not those shown. There were two varieties of shark, but it isn't known how long they've existed in that form as they are ultra deep species. The only marine animals who have not changed since prehistoric times are the chambered nautilus, the Coelacanth, and an argument could be made for the Carcharodon sharks. |

Friday, August 27, 2010 4:29:30 AM It Makes it hard to believe the Earth is as old as Scientist say it is. Seeing as how these creatures are believed to be extinct and here they are |

Thursday, August 26, 2010 4:42:48 PM Practically all species alive today are "prehistoric." That is, they existed before written human history.

Thursday, August 26, 2010 3:29:35 PM Kudos to thechive.com for providing pictures with no captions that could possibly contain useless information like the name of the fish, or where it was caught. |
