I dunno, I guess because I'm a first generation net native, this is all common sense.
One thing that does shock me is the lack of concern for personal privacy. "I'm doing nothing wrong, so I don't have to worry." Yes, yes you do.
What happens when companies figure out how to use CCTV to map your buying habits for marketing purposes? Want to start getting adds in the mail for Johnson's Genital Wart Cream? CCTV in pharmacies. Or what about purchasing naughty items at the sex shop. Or what if you work in an abortion clinic, and find your image plastered on posters in your neighborhood by anti-abortionists?
Dna database? F*ck no! Think about this, information can be accessed by almost anyone, the F.B.I. has been hacked. What happens when you find out that a Pharma company has copywritten one of your genes, or gene sequences? They own your body.

Google street view: If you didn't want to be caught naked sunbathing or changing your clothes: stay indoors with the curtains closed! Anyone could have seen it walking down your street anyway, so what are you complaining about?? |

who gives a crap about CCTVs? That is like the camera at the gas station or the atm. I should remind whoever wrote this that Eagle Eye was fiction. To get the video of my sexy face pumping gas at the local station the cops, or homeland security, still have to go and get the tapes.
One thing I do find surprising is that people in the UK aren't caught on camera more. With public cameras and all every where.
Also, ignorant MNs FTW! Who needs to be on Google maps when no one cares where that is anyways. I don't know where that even is. I won't ever know either because I don't own a map book and I can't look it up on street view. Actually I just Googled it. Those are a bunch of rich a$sholes in North Oaks. |
