Even for police, a domestic violence situation is one of the most dangerous calls they will get, so for just a civilian to try to intervene wouldn't be safe. Call the police. |

Not really all that shocking. Many studies have been done on this very issue, and all show that almost everyone will not get involved in that situation. Never yell help, or rape, yell Fire, sad but it works better.
Why? Well, back in the day, you could interrupt a domestic disturbance and be looking at going fisticuffs with the beater. Now you are likely to get either a bullet in the guts, or a knife in the ribs. The best thing to do is call the police. Sad but true.
And seriously, all that hate on Wizard for that comment. Really people, how long have you been on teh interwebz? Grow a thicker skin. A joke like that doesn't make him a monster, it means he has an understanding of dark and black humor. |

Seriously, a lot of people are real quick to jump on you for doing something small and petty (like playing music too loud or not mowing your lawn enough or having your trash bins 6 inches too close to their driveway) but when it comes to something big that actually might be DANGEROUS suddenly they are quiet as church mice. Happens in my neighborood all the time (not the wife-beating, but other stuff). Sad. |

That's sad, but true. My boyfriend got a call from one of the neighbours beside the place he owns because one of the tenants was being "too noisy". He went over there because he thought they were having a party or playing loud music and was going to ask them to turn it down. It turns out that one of his tenants was getting her ass kicked by her boyfriend and ran into the street screaming for help. The neighbour continued to bitch at my boyfriend for having such problematic, noisy tenants. |

Sounds like every year 1400 women should have shut the hell up.
and now you are all up in arms about the rampant abuse of women without knowing that the video is in fact more than three years old, and wizard shouldnt catch heat for saying what everyone wanted to say. If you can't deal with the sick and twisted humor of the internet and its inhabitants, my question would be: "why do you have an account on I-am-bored.com; full knowing the content and the twisted humor very common on it?" in all honesty, wizard's comment combined with the reaction of others is what makes this thread epic, not the video. |
