I can hear it clearly. But it doesn't hurt me it just made me dizzy and nauseous. It is still ringing in my ear even though I stopped it. |

Totally just teased the piss out of my kids, playing this on and off during the time it's been posted. "Mom I heard that sound again!" I can't hear it and I'm 28. |

Ok, I am almost 30 years old and I think that I have some hearing damage from working as a Chef for many years in noisy kitchens. And damn that noise hurts. It sounds like a bug getting too close to your ear. Try using headphones. I keep trying it to see if it is my imagination, but no, I can also hear the click when the play stops. Torture your friends with this... |

Some people can hear it, some can't. It has to do with the size of your ear drum. Smaller can hear higher pitches. |

I tried this test a good while ago in group of diverse ages (most of them over 18) and I got mixed reactions, still most of them could hear it so I doubt this is entirely age related |

i remember when they used to play a similar sound at a bus stop near me, it was just outside one of those places the government deemed attracted too many youth. i think the sound was to make us decide to find a place elsewhere to hang, not cool. |

You have to have a sound card and speakers capable of producing a sound with frequency of over 20 kHz for this to work right. And even then mp3 encoding is likely to mess it up. |
