Deep fried butter in a buttery butter sauce with chunks of butter on top, butter beans and buttery biscuits with buttermilk to drink, followed by a whole butter pound cake deep fried and then drenched in butter for dessert.

kw112, if you couldn't sense the massive sarcasm in my rant, then you just made us all look dumb. Did you notice any similarity to Fat Bastard's speech in Austin Powers? I'm skinny, so I really don't know why everyone else is fat. I guess it's pretty much overeating and lack of exercise. |

The Ice cream starts SUPER frozen and coated in either corn meal (the Mexican variety) or coconut (the Chinese kind) and is only in the fryer for about 10 seconds. Super freezing it makes it so that the ice cream doesn't melt into nothing in the fryer and coating it makes it form a shell as it cooks. Its really quite delicious, and a lot of places are using frozen yogurt now instead of ice cream so its actually healthier.
That... Sounds surprisingly good, except that I don't especially care for coconut. I guess I'll have to hope the kind I get when I get the chance are the Mexican kind. |

I guess I'm lucky in that I really don't like unhealthy food. The only unhealthy things I really like are mac and cheese (DELICIOUS) and americanized chinese food (although traditional chinese food is AMAZING). |

Close. It's actually frozen butter wrapped in a puff pastry or even a sliver of dough carefully peeled off one of them cardboard tubes of dinner rolls. It really is outrageously delectable. |

Actually, we have Deep Fried Butter at the San Diego County Fair. Along with the following deep fried treats.
Twinkies
Snickers
Avocado
Klondike Bar
Moon Pies
Pop Tarts
Ice Cream S'Mores deep fried
and my personal favorite
Sweet Potato Fry Dog. It's a hot dog dipped in batter, then dipped in shreaded sweet potato's, battered again and fried up! YUM YUM YUM

Altaru: Actually deep fried ice cream originated in Mexico and also in Asia, It's been around quite awhile. I've tried the Mexican version and it's really pretty good.
Huh... I guess I'll have to give it a try next time I see some.
Still, when I saw it, it didn't exactly LOOK appealing, and I'm still kinda confused as to how it makes any sense whatsoever...
Wouldn't the ice cream melt in the deep friar? I mean, I can barely keep it in one piece in the bowl, how does it stay together in searing hot oil? |

Actually deep fried ice cream is pretty good. The crust is usually some kind of corn meal so isn't TOO bad for you. |

The REAL reason everyone says America's fat, is because we're less self-conscious about being fat.
Basically, what happened was, a few tourists came over, went to an American beach or something, and saw a few fat people out enjoying their life.
Whereas, in their own country, fat people are locked in cages until they're skinny, because, of course, no one can stand to just let people live the way they like too, like we can here in the US.
So, since we just accept fat people for who they are, a stereotype was born where we're all fat bastards who love being fat. |
