seriously, how do we even know she wasn't doing her job in that building. There's nothing to suggest otherwise except for a note by the person taking the video who has an obvious agenda. |

If she were a cop instead of a traffic officer, I'd say that she deserves some perks for risking her life and that if it's her being able to park wherever she likes so be it. I think I chuckled more than anything because of the irony of a traffic enforcement officer disobeying a parking sign. |

Make no mistake, these fat useless imbeciles ARE NOT COPS!!! They work for the department of revenue and the only reason they have NYPD on their uniforms and cars is to make people think twice about beating the crap out of 'em. They are self entitled douchebags that break the very laws they are charged with enforcing and yet even if you are sitting in your car and fully capable of moving it they will waddle up and scan your registration sticker, often fining you rediculous amounts of money (300$)for violations that really could be resolved with a warning. (yeah, im less than 5' from a fire hydrant but the car is running and I'm able to move it if a fire happens to break out. Isn't it better than double parking and blocking traffic?) Some would argue that they are "just doing their job" but their job is just about making money for the city at the expence of hardworking people. In NYC the signage is purposely confusing just to generate revenue. GIVE THESE PARASITES HELL! |

Oh I see, 2007. Try videotaping a police officer in public now and you'll be immediately tased, body-slammed to the ground by 3 or 4 burr-headed, testosterone-jacked cops, and hauled off to jail.

Also, while we're regurgitating old stories and extrapolating single events to mean what we want, Policemen are awesome. They all write themselves tickets, and care about schoolchildren crossing the road. |

Erm, yeah ok, breaking the law as a job perk is wrong.
Like when I was in Investments, perks would be insider trading. Don't do that.
I now run the IT department. My perks are now that I got to unblock facebook for all our users, and I can access IAB's admin console. Something I couldn't do when I didn't have access to all our systems.
Nothing illegal, or wrong there in any way. Still a perk. |

I pointed out to a police officer once that he was parking illegally, he said that he had to be able to leave in a hurry and he couldn't do that if he parked in a parking space. |

If she is doing her duties then it's fine. Running personal errands is not fine, and it takes the piss that the public tax dollar / pound is paying for her to do stuff she should do in her own time. I agree that hypocrites need to be put in their places. |

Why do people hate traffic cops / wardens so much?
I don't hate traffic wardens, I hate hypocrites. And people who abuse their power, thinking that being a traffic warden/cop puts them above the law. |

Can't speak to everywhere else, but for the sake of argument, here in Fl: Police can disregard parking and directional road signs, as well as speed limits AS LONG they are using their lights and sirens. Although they do have to SLOW at intersections to make sure it is clear. If they are responding to an emergency, they CAN use a fire lane. That being said, unless it were a medical issue, almost any emergency at a bank would require a cop to park several blocks away. |
