QueenZira you've missed angillion's point entirely, he's FOR EQUALITY, he's against feminism, because many 'feminists' actually do hate men or believe all men should be programmed to be feminine because they see something wrong with masculinity

Wait..so there's MORE than just one of them outside of the kitchen? Okay guys, we're gonna need some scented candles and a lot of laundry to lure 'em all back.

In university, in 1984, I was part of the "gamers club" we played D&D and wargames, eh?
In our 'official application' for status (so we could book empty rooms to play in) we wrote "no schmoos" because there was this ONE GUY who was build just like a schmoo! And he was SO ANNOYING we didn't want him joining out geeky group.
He was like a 'black hole' of anti-fun.
ANYHOW we got taken to task for "being exclusivist".
We pointed out the the University "Wombyn's Center" (sic) excluded men.
The ensuing half-hour lecture on feminism and all it's glorious benifits only ended when I interrupted and pointed out that "schmoos are ficticious animals".
We got our charter. I learned ALL I needed to know about the "ivory tower mentality" in that meeting.

I don't get the comparison to the BNP, seriously I don't. The central tenets of any feminism are working for the equality and self respect of women (and men) while promoting a greater understanding of how sex and gender influence human relationships. We don't embrace a "master gender" nor do we search for some kind of twisted "purity."

Why do so many right wing ideologues try to portray this as some kind of zero sum "war" between the sexes? Because they have an interest in sowing discord and causing what should essentially be two of the greatest allies, men and women, to become two of the most needlessly hostile foes.

You changed your semantics?

Good for you, wanna a cookie?

I changed my entire philosophy. If you think that's semantics, you're very stupid indeed. I think you're not that stupid.

As for the idea that feminism can't be sexist because *some* feminists will allow men to be considered feminists...seriously, does anyone believe that rubbish? There's a huge difference between purpose and membership. It's like saying that advocating for lions isn't about advocating for lions because it's not only lions doing it. It's silly.

There's a racist and fascist political group in this country called the BNP. The central purpose of the BNP is to advocate solely for the people they consider to be British and create a Britain populated solely by those people. The criteria are laid out in their constitution - "white" and descended from specific groups of "whites". The BNP will allow anyone to be a member *as long as they support the core values of the BNP, including that central one*. So...does that mean the BNP is not racist because it's open to everyone?

You know even _dudes_ are feminists and have been feminists throughout our history.

And if you had been reading my posts rather than making stuff up from your own imagination and pretending it's from me, you would already know that I used to be one of them.

Then I recovered from my infection with feminism and started advocating sexual equality instead.

You know even _dudes_ are feminists and have been throughout out history. We have much honor and respect for folks like Bob Macelvaine and John Stuart Mill. Beloved wisdom and support from those of the nonboobed variety.

The differences aren't conditioning. They're biologically hard-wired.

This is wiring that can't be programmed away, at least not without severe emotional and psychological damage to the subject in the experiment.

That's a statement of faith, nothing more.

It's also a statement that logic implies you don't believe yourself.

If you really believed that every man was the same and every woman was the same and that it was all biologically hardwired, you would have no objection to removing sexed social conditioning (i.e. the programming that already exists) because you'd be sure that everyone would conform to whatever stereotypes you believe in.

Again what is this "Code of FemDoctrine" you seem to be constantly referencing,

Either you're deluded enough to believe that entirely false statement or you're just lying again.

Why are you so opposed to sexual equality? Do you think that men are inferior and therefore don't deserve equality? Or do you think that women are inferior and can't cope with equality?

And yes, I am well aware that there are numerous strains of feminism, some opposed to others on some issues. But they all have core values in common because they're all feminism. Unless you're arguing that the word "feminism" has no meaning at all, your argument is senseless. Even if you were arguing that, you'd still be wrong because the words and deeds of different strains of feminism show that they do indeed share common core values.

Your irrational fear and ad hominems reveal nothing more than the results of a childish sense of challenged male privilege.

I've quoted that because it's a perfect example of your projection and hypocrisy.

You're the one using ad hominem and you're the one who's so angrily opposed to sexual equality, which shows that you're the one with a childish sense of privilege that you consider threatened by equality.

You're also lying. You're obviously literate, so you must have seen my repeated statements in favour of sexual equality.

I hope you didn't think I was talking about hentai *blush*

Broadly, I agree with the porn is harmful side of Feminist thought, especially when something bad happens to the female character. However I have become more accepting of the Idea that it may indeed be helpful for women raised with puritanical attitudes toward sex.

On a side note my favorite animes are Fullmetal Alchemist and Bleach, although Boondocks is pretty great too, if it's not considered an anime it should be.

Gotta love I-A-B for one reason alone: The plethora of opinions and discussions; the depth of emotional investment put into a single picture that was meant for a laugh! Love, love, love it!

I was expecting it was going to look like a vag.

Also everyone knows Japanese porn is the worst. (Or the best depending on how jaded you are or if you've seen so much porn normal boning doesn't work anymore)

Vindictive...

I love you, lol. Not just for this post, past ones too.

And QueenZira...
I wasn't just talking about the hentai, lol. I can show you plenty of proof that even the live-action porn from Japan has virtually no respect for women... Case-in-point, ever heard of Bukakke? And I won't even START to get into some of the worse stuff I've seen...

That aside, I LOVE anime and manga. Actually, just yesterday I obtained a whole bunch of Fruits Basket manga. Best day ever.

I hate feminists so hard. Unless you live in a country where women don't have rights, shove your feminism up your cooch and get back in the kitchen.

I can say it because i'm a lady. :D
