The 'China has swastikas' argument might have worked if the Buddhist swastika wasn't the other way around. Hitler turned it around and used it in Nazi Germany. In China and other Buddhist countries it still turns the other way. |

Eh whatever, the best thing about names that are like this is you know to avoid said family. If those kids grow up and realize they're names are maessed up and they don't end up being neo-nazi's themselves then they can go to court and change their names. But I do have to wonder how the middle name 'Aryan Nation' was even considered a good idea. Naaa were not racist or anything, we just happen to really love Germany, preferably between 1933 and 1945...nothing to do with the Nazi's or that doctrine of hating people, what gives you that idea? |

thats crazy you should be able to name your kids what you want everyone is always saying be yourself and everyone has the right to believe what you want to and not to be afraid what other people think. sur there may have been some domestic disputes but every family has them they looked happy idk maybe there was abuse but if it was just becaus of the names thats stupid. im not saying that i agree with the natzi way but im not saying that they are right all im saying is that even if you no nothing about hitler or what he did you would still hate him because the rest of the world does its just like if everyone around you told you to hate the color blue that blue was the worst color in the world then you would have no choice to hate it no matter what you thought .. long story short let the dratin parents name their kids the way they want and rais them the way they want there is no wrong or right way and there shouldnt be some clear cut picture of how a typical faimly should be or behave |

My last name starts with S, so I've always said that when I have a kid, I'm gonna try to give them an A first name and an S middle name.
That way, when they play games at arcades and get a high-score, their initials can actually be ASS.
However, ASS does not have a historical significance of being responsible for locking Jews, Gypsies, and pretty much anyone else they didn't like in Concentration camps and working them to death, or gassing them if they weren't fit to work.
ASS also didn't lead a military campaign to take control of Europe and the rest of the world.
ASS also didn't LOSE this campaign because he was a dumbass. |

There's a MASSIVE difference between naming your kids something STUPID/CREATIVE, and naming them after people that massacred millions of innocents of various ethnic groups and lost a war because of their stupidity.
You're kids might get teased a little, and in the case of Michael, might even be considered badass.
Those kids are destined to get their asses beat every other day because their stupid parents decided that it would be fun to name them after infamous homicidal idiots, the very mention of which is offensive to... Well, pretty much anyone that knows history, except, you know, Neo-Nazis... |

Why do they make that argument that the Swastika existed in other cultures and has a significance outwith Nazism? They've named their children after famous Nazis so the reason he has a swastika on his arm isn't because he "likes art." Similarly, he hasn't chosen Adolf as his son's name because it means "noble wolf." At least have the integrity to say why you have it as opposed to blatantly lying like that. If they had the decency to stand honestly behind their actions, then fine, take it up as an issue of free speech, as the true test of any free speech laws is the worst thing that is defended by that law. As it is, idiots, in multiple ways. |

being expressive is fine, but how does it affect the kids in the future? What's going to happen to little Dolf in school? If a child psychologist can show that it would have no negative effects, then fine, go for it.
Whether these kids in this particular case should be taken away, no one on iab can say, unless they are part of the family and know all the facts. We don't know what else has happened in the house. |

Subushie (and anyone else who thinks the kids' names are okay) - what would you have said if the parents decided to name the kids Retard, Loser, and Idiot? No, there ARE lines to be drawn when it comes to naming children. Adolf and Arya would have been great names, regardless of their underlying meanings. Adolf Hitler and Aryan Nation are not. |

IMHO, those parents should NEVER get their kids back. It could be considered child abuse to give them those names, because think of the teasing and harassment the kids will have to endure because of their names. True, a parent has a right to name their child whatever they want, but the naming of a child is not a time to make a political statement or do something for the shock value, which these parents clearly did. |

Hitler reversed it, creating the opposite effect. So yeah, that man from one angle might have a Swastika, but from another, a hindu symbol of peace.

I'm saying that when you have a tattoo like that and three kids named "Adolf Hitler," "Aryan Nation," And "(whatever it was) Himmler," that tattoo has nothing to do with the symbol of peace.

Crazy as this may seem, if there is no evidence of abuse, then the parents really shouldn't have their children taken away. THeir poor kids are going to be tormented as they get older, though...in an ideal world, morons like this pair would be sterile. |
