Thursday, August 05, 2010 12:41:04 PM The only problem here is... fishing was never halted, and the seafood was never deemed unsafe to eat. There has also been no reports of any mass shrimp death. So how exactly were their costs increased, or did they just see the chance to make an extra buck? |

Thursday, August 05, 2010 10:30:53 AM "i think seeing that would be enough for me to leave the restaurant without paying." Because it's not like BP's single-handed colossal screwup killed shrimp and therefore raised their price or anything. |

Thursday, August 05, 2010 6:25:31 AM well, rakoon....the price of shrimp has gone up because the area where seafood is allowed to be caught has shrunk, and it nobody else's fault except for BP. Nissan, we're all sick of hearing about it, but the problem isn't just going to go away. This was a monumental catastrophe, and to not hear about it would just be letting BP off the hook. People's livlihoods have been taken away from them, the ecosysten has been ruined for at least a generation, and don't forget that lives were lost. |

Wednesday, August 04, 2010 8:53:37 PM I think if you capitalize the word it might not work. Once I typed "cockatoo" and it was censored, but "Cockatoo" was not. (I might be totally wrong about this, of course) |

Wednesday, August 04, 2010 3:40:30 PM auburnjunky: Shrimp, crab, crawfish and lobsters are basically the seas roosterroaches (I still love how they taste), Knowing that how do we know for sure they are safe to eat ? I'd like to see some testing done first. CNN is saying the dispersants may be toxic, I know that crude oil, When it breaks down, Can and does form some nasty chemicals like Benzenes, Naphthenes, Ethylenes, Phenols, Ketones, Sulphide compounds, and others that I certainly wouldn't want to be eating. While this restaurateur may be profiteering, I'd still want to be sure the shrimp and other seafood is safe and has been tested by certified labs of the FDA. |

Wednesday, August 04, 2010 3:00:52 PM LOL! Shrimp fishing has resumed, and it was actually not adversely impacted. This restaurant was just looking for a buck, literally. |

Wednesday, August 04, 2010 2:27:02 PM Bull crap. Shrimp from asia is cheeper than local shrimp. That's just an excuse to raise the price. |
