My city, in the US, plans to implement this. Free showers too in order to entice businesspeople to ride to work.
As to people who are arguing, everywhere in the world has their own problems. No place is great. They all suck.
I want that fixed ASAP. |

Awesome idea. Would work best in U.S. if private companies did this. Don't wait around for gov't to screw it up and then make taxpayers pay for it.
U.S. is fat because (a) we eat bad food, (b) we watch too much teevee, and (c) we have no more shame. |

One thing for sure is you'll never see me migrating to europe. Now take a look at our immigration offices how filled they are of people from europe requesting visas to try and make the american dream. God bless america |

Dublin's bike sharing program, which launched back in September, has been a smashing success (as I imagine the Irish might say). The Dublin City Council is claiming it is "the most successful in the world by any measure." From the Global Post:

The first reason winters34? The fact that you wouldnt exist of it wasnt for europeans? I think thats a good enough reason right there.
Not if he's Native American. If he's Native American, he has an ASS-LOAD of reasons to hate you...
And there are plenty of reasons for plenty of other places in the world to hate a fair few European countries too...
You know, taking a quick look back at history... I think a lot of Europe doesn't like America because we're doing now what they did in the past better than they did when they did it... I mean, people hate the way the US tends to intrude in the matters of other countries... But it wasn't long ago that many European countries basically enslaved entire populations half-way across the globe from their home land...
Not that America doesn't suck, and isn't so flooded with problems it's almost better to let it drown and start over, but still... |

Reason number 2: Europe have more than 70% of artistic heritage in all world and if we want to talk about modern art and design what about "Ferrari", "Lamborghini", "Pagani", "Porsche"..?
Reason number 3: European cities and capitals are simply "AMAZING", what about
Rome, Paris, London, Berlin, Barcellona, Venezia...and thousand more.
Reason number 4: We sign the Kyoto protocol.
Reason number 5: In all Europe death sentence don't exist.
Reason number 6: Mediterranean food is so various and in many cases not so fat and our knowledge in cookery is apreciated evrywhere.
Reason 7:We born here and we love here.

Great idea- I love this as I don't drive. At home I have my own bike, but I certainly would not wish to travel with it. Cities with this scheme give me the chance to just mooch around, if I can stand the damn traffic! |
