As far as the staying home from school thing, totally untrue and equal in my house growing up...we could be bleeding to death or dying from something, and my parents would be like "take a *insert OTC meds here* and go to school". This went for me or my brothers. However, on other things, boys ALWAYS get away with everything while the girls get away with nothing. My room and privacy was constantly invaded growing up. This did not happen to my brothers. Oldest brother smoking weed? Ok, big deal, dont smoke in the house(to parents). They find condoms in MY room? ZOMG! End of the world as we know it! Girls get more freedom my a$$. |

Um... that's really not how it is at all. My parents don't give me much space or freedom. I think in most cases it's the opposite of this post. The son gets more freedom and the parents don't trust their daughter. At least that's how it is with most girls and their parents that I know... |

It was the other way round for me! My brother could stay out because my mom knew he couldn't be out with a girl, where as I wasn't allowed to because I'd be staying with my boyfriend... it's better than masturbating! |
