Friday, July 30, 2010 7:11:30 AM @thelonious How is friendship not a relationship? Relationship [ri ley shuhn ship] –noun 1. a connection, association, or involvement. 2. connection between persons by blood or marriage. 3. an emotional or other connection between people: "the relationship between teachers and students." |

Thursday, July 29, 2010 7:17:19 PM @SchrdngrsCat There's a radio station in town with a host that plays "relationship roulette" where they get one person on the phone, ask them a question, then call the other and see if the answers match. And she always asks them, "Are you married or in a relationship". It just bugs me. |

Thursday, July 29, 2010 5:12:11 PM The friend/ "relationship" divide? Because being friends is NOT a type of relationship! |

Thursday, July 29, 2010 7:56:05 AM @ Pui, I honestly agree with alot of what you said. I was trying to be more lighthearted than critical. Men can definitely be just as shallow as women if not more. (probably more) While goldiggers are frustrating there is a more common problem men face. Its called "Sorry, I'm taken". :-p |

Thursday, July 29, 2010 7:43:16 AM You know, money is truly the only great equalizer for men, women have the "power" otherwise. |

Thursday, July 29, 2010 7:26:53 AM First of all, I am not saying that women don't ever go after men with money. They do. However, that is often a poor choice, especially if they are disregarding his other traits simply because he's rich. Also, I'd say women more often seek men with influence and social status, rather than wealth. In the end it's beside the point. All I am trying to say is men can be equally shallow and stupid when it comes to choosing a partner. Secondly, sorry I'm taken. ;)

Thursday, July 29, 2010 7:04:16 AM @boNeymiZz what is? A person's taste in a partner is a matter of personal preference? Yes it is, and both men and women are capable of having horrible taste. |

Thursday, July 29, 2010 5:47:49 AM It is also "irrefutably true" that men are "wired" to want beautiful, sexually available women. These types of women tend to be the most b*tchy and are more likely to cheat because they have many men available to them and therefore they get away with that behavior. Men and women still are both equally capable of being really stupid about choosing a partner. |

Thursday, July 29, 2010 4:22:31 AM This is not a bad thing surely? As it means that girls go for intelligence based success rather than brute force (Douche) based success? A nerd with a 100 thou IT job is far more likely to own a BMW than some musclebound numpty. |

It's the same way that men who are "attractive" physically tend to be jerks because they can get away with it. Women often go for the "bad boy" type. He's a jerk who never calls you and just generally treats you like crap, but damn he looks so good with his stubble and in those torn jeans! Men complain all the time that women go after attractive jerks who treat them badly, but ignore the fact that they do the same thing. It's hypocritical. This may in some cases be truem but is surely changing the subject to divert attention from the main point being made here, which is irrefutably true? It's nothing to be ashamed of though, basic anthropology. Female chimps go for chimps further up the hierarchy. Having lot's of money suggests someone is successful therefore genetically superior and better to breed with. |
