you must've never been to any convention. slave leia is awful. everywhere you go you see one and its so unoriginal and gets so boring. plus 90% of them are not attractive if not downright ugly
Nope. Never been. Otherwise Im sure I would agree with you but I did like the slave Leia in the pics. I would like to go one day. Sounds like fun. |

I must be old and crusty or something, but IMHO most of the best costumes are the well done ones, not the ones that show the most skin...
Granted, most female comic book and anime chars are uber skimpy dressed, but still. |

Yeah yeah yeah, slave Leia and Cat Woman, yadda yadda, what these shindigs tell me is that about 90% of the girls at these events all secretly wanna dress up like ho's and there are a gaggle of midlife crisis geriatrics eagerly wanting to live out their fantasy with em.
I wonder how many could actually tell you *anything* about the character they're portraying. Not that I give a rat's ass mind you, I'm fine with checking out girls in skimpy costumes and all that, just don't be bitter and bitchy when you realize you've helped to objectify your gender. |
