bridog6996 don't be stupid. The entire ejection system is designed to be zero-zero. YES you can use the ejection system sitting on the ground, and you will live. The seat pushes you far up enough for the parachute to open. |

It was an F-18c, The pilot was Canadian.
You know how you can tell it was a Canadian pilot and not a US Air Force pilot? A USAF pilot woulda carpet-bombed a few friendlies on the way in... |

I clearly said the PARACHUTE, not the ejection seat. Two separate things. The ejection seat shoots you out of the airplane, the parachute is the thing that hopefully stops you from falling to your death. If you can make a parachute work with zero altitude and air speed, drop everything right now and go work for NASA. |
