I'm assuming it is different 'coats' of resin or some other moulder to make up the shape... I have friends into serious propmaking (full OSDT halo suit and helmet from resin. I hang with nerds ._.) who use a similar method but I'm not exactly sure if that is what he is doing...
The different colours however can be good if you have to sand it. You'll be able to tell how 'deep' you are by the colour that shows and hence avoid drating it up. |

screwzlooose: Yep it is pointless, but then alot of things we do it so it fits in nicly. I don't like much dance music myself ether, but something about Daft Punk I don't mind. To each their own I guess.
