Diamonds rings are pretty, , my dad was going to get me one for my exam results me one, he gave me a cheap 50p thing before hand to wear before i had chosen what i wanted, unfortuantly i had lost it before the end of that week, i never got my ring but i got a holiday instead. |

It's possible to get carbon from hair.
So...you can give an ethically sound and very personal diamond by having one made from your own hair. Or their hair. Or a pet's hair. Whatever. |

I like jewelry, but honestly, I am not willing to wear a stone that is covered in the blood of inocent people. There are plenty of cheaper, prettier and cleaner stones in the market. Yes, I still have my vanity, but at least I try to find out where that stone I wear comes from. |

It has no real value to YOU. First, you're 13-17, you're still nub at life.
You haven't saved up from your little checks for months to buy your girlfriend a ring that you hope she'll LOVE, and when you DO ask her to marry you, seeing her face light up and tell you how much she loves the ring.
Yeah, no real value at all. GG.
Why not just give her the money you earned instead? That's better in every way. It's a more honest testament to her character and it doesn't support a corrupt cartel based on abusing people to sell tiny bits of rock at vastly inflated prices to fools who buy them to impress other, more mercenary fools.
Maybe I'm weird, but I'd want anyone I married to love me, not money I spent to support abusing people. |

The diamond syndicate is one of the most vile, horrid, vicious industries around. Any woman who really wants a diamond should be made aware of the lives that are destroyed by the process. And with todays technology you can always have one engineered and not have supported the war lords in africa. |
