"Civil rights laws were not passed to protect the rights of white men and do not apply to them."
- Mary Frances Berry, Chairwoman, US Commission on Civil Rights

madest: As for Mary Frances Berry she was absolutely right.

Say wha?

She was saying CIVIL RIGHTS DO NOT APPLY TO WHITE MEN. Therefore if you are saying she's right, you are also agreeing that WHITE MEN HAVE NO CIVIL RIGHTS which makes you a moron.

Also, last word.

Also, civil rights means rights for civilians. Not rights for all civilians except white people.

@madest:

Get rid of all the crazy military spending too.

I don't support military all over the world. They should all be here, and in the countries of the people who request our presence if they cannot support themselves.

Welfare is not a trap for me. Welfare is something there for me that temporarily helps me as I look to better myself or my situation. There are a vast majority of families who live their whole lives on welfare of some kind.

You lose your job, you should get Food Stamps, and unemployment. If you are actively looking for a job, and can prove that, you keep it. If you aren't you should lose it.

Call it a "Get off you ass" clause.

While I appreciate all the... uhh... enthusiasm on in this comments section, it's exactly the reason I just can't care anymore. With a few exceptions, politicians are functionally retarded. It's gone so far into supporting your party and not your country that there is no politician I can trust to run the country.

Okay I read your link, and I must say...

I see you trollin'. I hatin'.

He wasn't being racist any more than Biden and Hillary were, if you wanna say they weren't.

He was being satirical and saying welfare is a trap, which it is.

He was saying that families growing up on welfare, teach their kids to live on welfare, which they do.

Get out from under your white bred rock man. The welfare state destroys productivity, and it destroys the workforce.

If we cut welfare (in all forms) down to pre-Carter levels, unemployment would drop like Hoffa wearing his favorite shoes while swimming.

@madest:

So you're passing judgment on a whole movement over mistakes of the past? Rectified mistakes?

Okay. I can play the game.

"You cannot go to a 7-11 or Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian Accent."
-VP Joe Biden

"Mahatma Gandhi ran a gas station down in Saint Louis."
-Sec. of State Hillary Clinton

"Blacks and Hispanics are too busy eating watermelons and tacos" to learn how to read and write."
- Mike Wallace, CBS News

"I'll have those n*ggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years."
- President Lyndon B. Johnson

"Civil rights laws were not passed to protect the rights of white men and do not apply to them."
- Mary Frances Berry, Chairwoman, US Commission on Civil Rights

Shall I go on?

Although I agree with a lot of what you say Altaru, I think your views are very Starship Troopers. :)

"Become a citizen! Serve your time!"

I LOVE that movie!

Altaru, I will not let angry, bitter right-wing Fascists like you take away my freedoms, and I will fight for more of them

I'm not taking away anyone's freedoms, directly. I'm saying that people should have to EARN their rights, instead of just having everything HANDED to them.

And if you're willing to fight for your rights... Then you've probably earned them.

madest: He (Williams) is/was not a leader of the National Tea Party Federation and the NTPF wants nothing to do with him. They've rebuked him.

What you are saying is akin to saying "Michael Steele represents all black people", Get real.

"Yeah, not so much on that either, since I don't trust people enough to believe they'll do the right thing with more freedoms."
"And that's why people are worthless to me."

He could actually be libertarian auburnjunky.

Yeah, not so much on that either, since I don't trust people enough to believe they'll do the right thing with more freedoms.

One of my personal idea policies is that EVERYONE should have to spend a small amount, no more than maybe a year, two at most, taking some form of military training.

It would teach everyone self-defense, which would help curb violent crime, it would teach people personal responsibility, and it would teach people HOW TO USE GUNS LIKE SOMEONE WITH A BRAIN IN THEIR SKULL...

Altaru, I thought you were liberal?

F*ck that sh*t. I never said I was anything. Check my profile.

I have my own viewpoints on things, based on my complete and utter lack of faith in humanity in general.

Screw your politics and "liberal vs. conservative" BS.

I'm militaristic. As far as I'm concerned, you're a maggot until you prove you're not a maggot.

It's not not even that difficult to prove you're not a maggot, but most people don't even want to put forth that minimal effort.

And that's why people are worthless to me.

Altaru, I thought you were liberal?

This is a conservative viewpoint. I believe Crakr was just trollin' you to make you show some non-liberalness.

Last time I checked, it was a liberal stance to say Johnny the retard is equal to super brainiac Bob.

It just isn't so. I agree that most people who vote are freaking pathetic small brains, but they have rights just like us on the other side of Darwin's spectrum.

Either all citizens are equal under the law or you're living in a fascist state.

And can I just ask what's wrong with natural selection?

Some people are f*cking idiots. I'd go as far as to say MOST people are f*cking idiots.

And why is that? Because people in this society are coddled, raised on a pedestal from birth like they're something important, whether they're good for anything or not. They're ALLOWED to be f*cking idiots, because hey, everyone's equal, right? Even the worthless.

I'm an advocate for the idea that people should actually have to CLIMB their way to the top, instead of having everything HANDED to them like it is anymore.

Everyone's equal my ass. The man who's worked his ass off for an entire life of some 60 years should be considered equal to the 18-year-old punk who's been waited on hand and foot all his life?

F*ck that. No one's given motivation to CLIMB anymore, so society's full of trash.

Obama supposedly has a degree in constitutional law, but he isn't qualified to wipe his ass with it.

So there.

Unfortunately classifying some citizens into a 'second category' and blaming the country's problems on 'them' is the route toward fascism.

I never blamed anything on anyone. I'm saying that there are some people who are qualified to have an opinion through education or experience (Yes, I did in fact say both. Read my comment, including the parts you don't want to see because they don't support your POV), and some people who are NOT, because they don't know enough.

Also, consider that in general, someone who goes through the education in a subject tends to want to go into a field of work surrounding that subject. In other words, they GAIN EXPERIENCE. No one's born with experience. But you also don't gain experience by giving opinions you aren't qualified to give, or by doing things you have no idea how to do.

blaming the countries problems on 'them'

Excuse me, but I don't think Altaru was advocating such an idea. He was simply arguing about the validity of people's opinions.

Having a higher education doesn't add weight to anyone's opinion, Practical experience (aka actually working) can be the best teacher. There are a lot of college and university graduates that can't find jobs right now because they have zero experience.

You need to learn more history, Because your ignorance (no offense meant) on the topic is helping it repeat itself.

@CrakrJak

No, the employees testified to submitting fake voter
registration
forms. Not fake absentee ballots. They were doing so in order to get paid. Either way their last 'scandal' with the video was the final blow to their horrifically mismanaged organization.
