Cinemas are dying because people are tired of being told good/bad messages in sappy, propaganda oriented fiction. Hopefully the new interactive communications mediums will kill off the old wave of debilitating propaganda from the old media, and hopefully the limits of copyright and patent that stems from them will be abolished, for patents and copyrights prevent people from speaking and building, unless their thing is so filled with BS that it qualifies as "new". |

I've seen just about every major release of the summer so far and I really only feel good about paying for a couple of them.
Nightmare on elm street, diary of a wimpy kid, jonah hex, just wright, splice, sex and the city 2, the killers, knight and day, letters to juliet, marmaduke, solitary man, shrek 4, grown ups and The last airbender were not worth my money, in fact if I could get my money back ($10 a pop) I would.
despicable me, predators, cyrus, get him to the greek, the a-team, prince of persia, please give, clash of the titans, shutter island, hot tub time machine, the losers and the karate kid are one-time watchers.
Harry brown, exit through the gift shop, the girl with the dragon tattoo, date night, iron man 2 and winters bone are the only movies I would consider purchasing.
Maybe the movie industry should focus on making less crap, because I pay for my poo and get burned. |

That's such BS. There have ALWAYS been pirates. Look at seed counts for Pirate CAMS. Assuming five or six cams have been posted, usually all of them horrible re-encodes from the same crap source file, at an average of 2600 Leeches per torrent thats 13000 Users who will actually download the cam. 13000 users who would not have shelled out the cash in the FIRST PLACE.
No money is "LOST" simply because there was no money to be "GAINED"
I still go to theaters to see a new re-lease because seriously, CAMs are outright HORRIBLE! If you watch a CAM you are just DETERMINED to sit through that mess.

eh, the price of the theaters in my city went up since AMC took over and they are no longer owned by Kerasotes, and now you have to buy a large popcorn and soda to get a free refill, and they don't even refill icees anymore period... Torrents are sounding pretty good now.. |

Yeah i spent between 1-2 weeks downloading prince of persia (not many people had it most of the time i was capped at 15kbs) and it was 4.7gb so i was like "^.^ dvd quality! has to be worth it!". Well it was filmed in a cinema, quality was as good as a VCD and it had foreign subtitles. I'll pay 50 bucks for me and a friend to go gold class and get free popcorn and soft drinks. Most of you IABers can sneak in pepsi max cans or whatever, YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY THE OVER PRICED BEVERAGES.
Alot of people are also saying they don't go to cinemas because of people talking/gum&popcorn on floor. I don't know what sort of cinemas that aren't clean >.> you can always change seats. And yeah I tell teenagers to shut the hell up. They don't expect it and can sometimes make them bounce off their seat by like a foot haha.

I'm pretty sure $6 for an Icee, $9 for a large popcorn, and $13 for a ticket if you want to see a 3D movie kills off a hell of a lot more theaters than torrenting movies that came out a year ago. |
