Wednesday, July 14, 2010 7:12:59 AM I bet the original few videos like this were TRULY legit, but now these people just try for hour on end to make these shots. They're truly awesome when they're spontaneous single shot wonders; after being rehearsed for dozen of shots over several hours and then chopping the "shots that made it" into a compilation video it loses it's luster. Time to move on. |

Monday, July 12, 2010 10:40:53 PM For every one of these shots, there are probably about 50 hours of outtakes. |

Monday, July 12, 2010 5:37:37 PM I'd like to point out to the "meh" crowd: Some people have remarkable spatial awareness and targeting skills. We constantly put athelets on pedestal because of what they are able to do, but because these guys aren't on a "team", no one can be bothered? I regularly go to a shooting range, and there's one older guy there (at least 65, because he's been retired for a few years) who can't hit the broad side of a barn with a shotgun at 5 paces, but he can freehand a quarter to knock the ember off a cigarette at 50 feet. Skill? You bet. Especially when he can hook it around blind corners and hit the cig just based on where the smoke is coming from. |

Monday, July 12, 2010 1:39:31 PM nothing that great. im never really impressed with these though. you never know how many times they tried before they succeeded, and the kids are always way too overexcited. |

Monday, July 12, 2010 1:14:07 PM When will people learn that it only counts as a basketball shot during a basketball game. Everyone of these shots can be replicated. And most were done at the same house, very lame. |

Monday, July 12, 2010 11:20:22 AM I just don't get it, the fascination with trick/luck basketball shots. I'm not bashing it; I just don't understand why people care, any more than I understand why people like watching baseball, or nascar. You have a 1 in 10000 chance of doing something, so you do it some 7000 times until you get it on camera. It's no different than sitting in front of a dartboard with a camera and editing together all the bulls-eyes you get. It's so weird.

Monday, July 12, 2010 10:40:06 AM These kids are doing it wrong, when you finally achieve the shot, you cant celebrate it that much, shows you have been trying it for hours.. |

Monday, July 12, 2010 10:29:20 AM These are better when they don't cheer and wave, when they are real matter-of-fact, like, "Yeah - I knew I could do that." It's hard to resist the temptation (especially after 100 failed shots) but makes for a much more impressive video. |
