Sunday, July 11, 2010 1:41:22 AM From what my room mate told me, they bent over backwards to give lebron james what he wanted, from the coach to player etc. and then he just up and left. If that is true then I see nothing wrong with this letter. |

Saturday, July 10, 2010 10:10:40 PM Wow, this letter is a million times more unprofessional than what Lebron James did. Get the fck over it. You lost a player because he wants to WIN. Nobody wants to be on a pooty team. I understand that it is his hometown and all that, but it's just a sport. He went the route where he gets LESS MONEY, and MORE CHANCES of obtaining exactly what everyone plays a sport works for; a championship. Sore losers are the Cleveland Cavaliers. |

Saturday, July 10, 2010 6:29:49 PM ElSombrero I'm sure there is something you care about in life that is equally trivial to other people. Maybe instead of finding flaws in what other people like you can shove a pipe up your ass. |

Saturday, July 10, 2010 5:18:43 PM It would be more believable if it weren't printed in comic sans serif. |

Saturday, July 10, 2010 4:29:35 PM I think Cleveland is better off. He is a great player but not a leader. I saw this while watching the playoffs against Boston. Unfortunately for myself I have to still endure Mark Cuban and the Mavs. |

Saturday, July 10, 2010 2:51:38 PM So what if the proceeds went to the Boys and Girls club? He embarrassed an entire city on national television, and cost the cavs some decent trades by making them wait. |

Saturday, July 10, 2010 2:50:28 PM And yes, I'm saying it's ridiculous: So lets see, we have little kids missing, crazy dicators building nuclear weapons, a war being fought with our countreymen being killed, the government messing up the nation and driving us into debt, illegal immigration and drug war problems, global warming. All very bad things, but I think I can handle them... OH MY GOD!!!! SOME GUY THAT MAKES MILLIONS OF DOLLARS BY BOUNCING A BALL JUST DECIDED TO BOUNCE A BALL FOR ANOTHER GROUP OF PEOPLE!!!! OH MY GOD THIS IS HUGE NEWS! I MUST FOLLOW EVERY DETAIL OF THIS!!!!! ..seriously, you guys just remind me of people who obsess over iPhones and Soap operas. |

Saturday, July 10, 2010 2:46:33 PM To all of you who are getting involved in this like your life is centered around LeBron James and the NBA: How ridiculous are you? Centering your life around one man and a little rubber ball? That being said, I am hoping Cleveland does win JUST because I am a fan of irony. |

Saturday, July 10, 2010 2:05:38 PM "line ten: "...Cavaliers have not nor NEVER will betray you." This looks at first like the fabled "triple negative," but with the insertion of a comma where I think it's intended to be, it's a double negative. 'Nor never'? Is this a typo or a subliminal, secret message?" Thought I was the only one who picked up on that LOL A very awkward sentence. |

Saturday, July 10, 2010 1:59:30 PM @Nburkie420: it was ultimately about money, as it always is in pro sports. Endorsements are where the real money's at, and winning championships will increase LeBron's marketability in China, an enormous and rapidly growing market for the NBA. IOW, he's taking a slightly smaller NBA contract in order to have a chance at much, much larger endorsement deals. Not that there's anything wrong with that; in fact, I respect him for making the right decision for himself. (Though as I said below, I don't respect the way he did it with the ridiculous one-hour TV special.) |
