Two words; Erzebet Bathory. Amd now some more words; Tortured young women and drank and bathed in their blood to keep young.

Good grief, some people are actually arguing that vampires are real.

Hairy people are real werewolves. Being a werewolf isn't about changing form into a wolf, like being a vampire isn't about being undead or drinking blood. Hairiness is a genetic trait.

See? I can do it too.

From the walls of text below I can accurately deduce that said posters are "nerd raging". But yeah, we're gonna need some bad-ass vampire/werewolf flicks to reverse the damage done by Twilight.

Ok. I understand that their are people who crave blood because they have some issue or disorder, but a vampire began as a myth! You may give a human who has similar traits as the being in the myth the name vampire. However that does not mean that I wont look at a person who has this disorder and calls themselves a "vampire" and take them seriously. Gingers, albinos, and drawfs have *physical* traits that set them aside from other people. I should know because I am a ginger. I do not feel as if I am different than any other human because my hair is red,my eyes are blue and my pale skin is freckled. These are just different genetic traits. Your "Vampires" are people with a disorder that causes them to crave blood. Oh by the way just because you have a college degree does not mean you are smarter than anyone. I just finished my first year in college and my grades are probably much better than what you did. So don't pull that poo. A piece of paper does not make you smart

"It claims right in the article that the real vampires are NOT like those you read about in books, so majority of those myths are false."

What a joke! So in other words they're not vampires but they like to be called vampires and thus claim that it's the MYTHS that are false. lol

"Its not being "undead". Its not all about drinking blood. "

Actually it is, in fact the old world term for 'vampires' was the 'masticating dead'. Just because some college student used his cursory bio knowledge to make up some pseudo science to back up his lifestyle does not a vampire make.

Considering there is scientific evidence of these traits, and that they've existed throughout history, I'd say that you were the stupid one for scoffing at it.

It claims right in the article that the real vampires are NOT like those you read about in books, so majority of those myths are false. Being a true vampire is more about having certain coding in your DNA that causes various traits which fit you into the category. It works much like homosexuality, or being ginger... Its all stemmed from various traits within our DNA. Its not being "undead". Its not all about drinking blood. Its simply a different category within the human evolution. Saying you don't believe in their existence means you also can't believe in blacks, gays, gingers, albinos, mongoloids, and dwarfs... ALL are simply names given to various traits associated with one's DNA structure. Want to try calling me stupid again? Come back when you have a college degree...

Oh wow Excuse me! How was I supposed to know that you were talking about the HUMAN nutjobs who call themselves vampires to justify their freakish behavior for wanting to drink blood. My skin is pale and I like rare steaks. Does that mean I'm also a vampire, an undead being of the night? I pity people who are ignorant or stupid enough to belive that a vampire is a real creature! Im sorry Taylor but your stupid. That site is for the gullible and in somecases mentally unstable regions of society.

Can someone explain to me what a "real" vampire is? To my knowledge vampires are a fictional species of super-natural beings. Vampires are the product of human imagination! A vampire can be whatever a person wants it to be! So if teen girls and any fans of Twilight want to belive that their vampires shine like diamonds and have emotions let them! Bram Stoker could have easily set the standard vampire to be exactly like Meyer's and you would bitch about vampires exploding into flames in the sunlight! My point is there is no "REAL" vampires so lay off!

taylor: I agree that Twilight has nothing to offer adult readers, but there are some children's movies and shows that are multi-leveled and can be enjoyed by adults as well. Many old cartoons included the occasional joke for the adults. And there's nothing wrong with reminiscing about school/fantasizing about studying magic, so I don't see anything wrong with adults watching Harry Potter.

Nah, youngdz... I'm still young at heart, but I'm old enough to know something good when I see it, and Twilight just doesn't fit into that bracket whatsoever. Vampires do NOT sparkle in sunlight. They don't play baseball. And they aren't angsty emotards. Want real vampires? Watch Bram Stoker's Dracula, Interview with a Vampire, or Lost Boys. Still not enough? Play Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines. You'll even learn some history of the term while you're at it.

Um Taylor stone there is absolutely nothing wrong with a 40 something watching a movie geared towards teen young adults I was always taught to keep my inner child so when I watch a movie or read a scfi novel I can suspend my belief of what I know science can and can not do I believe you are just hateful towards things because you "grew up" poo you are still a young-ling so do not talk about that which you do not know. as for Twilight nobody with sense of what is good vampire serials will not watch that poo

" lol grammar fail "

It's called a typo. Get over it. And a spelling error does NOT equal grammar mistake.

As for the "adult" comment... Simply stating that for an adult to find ANYTHING of value in Twilight shows their refusal to grow up. There is nothing geared toward adults in the entire series. It's like all those 40 somethings out watching Harry Potter. It's pathetic.

The problem could be easily solved by Bella just going with both of them. She's attracted to them both, right?

Oh dear, I've just ended Twilight.
