Thursday, July 01, 2010 8:30:10 AM Any teenager who suddenly gets access to alchohol after a life of prohibition is going to binge drink, they think that being DRUNK is where the fun is. Its the drinking and getting like that ^ that teaches you to drink responsibly. For instance my idea of sh*t-faced is very different from my 18 year old sisters. |

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 5:11:50 PM Why can't be just drink a normal amount. It isn't fun being trashed at all. It doesn't feel good and it doesn't look good. When I go out, I like to stay at the high point of a buzz or the low point of a drunk. Feels better, you don't throw up, and it's much funner! |

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 3:11:25 PM There is obviously waaaaay more binge drinking in europe than in the US, I know alchohol isn't that hard to come by but mainland europe are so relaxed on alchohol laws. And in england tbh; I was being served at a bar aged 15 by a thirteen year old in spain. Though I can see why some places have higher drinking laws when your out and theres a bunch of 14 year olds passed out on the streets. |

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 12:29:06 PM "no one follows that rule. These kids have probably been drinking since 14." Must be why my brother is the only person in my family who started drinking before 21, and that was at 18, and only once a year on New Year's Day. |

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 9:54:38 AM Sumrandom1, You witnessed more of it because the kids who actually are allowed a drink, drink in public. Unlike American kids drinking under bridges and in abandoned houses *From Personal experience* lol Now I don't know how many abandoned houses you break into just looking for drunken teens, but the reason you dont see as many is because they're in dratting hiding. |

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 9:32:04 AM number 3 just looks like a regular college student trying to fit in a nap whenever, wherever. Though, I personally prefer my car (commuter) or the comfy chairs in the library at UT. |

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 9:17:08 AM catbarf - thats a drating blatant lie and you know it, i have been all over europe as a teenager, and i witnessed more binge drinking by teens outside of US than i did when i was in the states, the reason being in US u must know someone that will sell to you or will buy for you if your under 21, in other countries, for example in check republic i celebrated my 14 bday at a bar and drank myself till i passed out over 3.5L of beer and screwdrivers to top it off, you my friend are mistaken |

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 8:40:00 AM It's not like kids wait till 21 to drink. I had my first drink at 14 and still ended up blackout drunk several times in my late teens and early 20s. Kids will test their limits- that's just life. |

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 8:11:12 AM "no, they still would. They would just be younger." Then American children must be poorly raised or for whatever reason more wild, because binge drinking among teenagers is almost nonexistent in Europe and other countries that allow limited drinking from a young age. |

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 7:29:15 AM ""If you allowed your kids to drink from 18 instead of the ridiculous 21 they'd have lots more practice and wouldn't end up looking like these clowns" no, they still would. They would just be younger. " No, when you're still living at home (as most 18 year olds are) you're much less likely to end up like this. And a couple of years under your parents roof but drinking drastically lowers this kind of thing (Hardly eliminates it, but easily cuts it by more than half) |
