thats the one thing most people dont understand. a majority of animals (mainly mammals) are very curious and if given enough time to study you, will realize you are not a threat. just dont make sudden movements |

It was obviously not an aggressive adult elephant seal, otherwise I'd assume she would have moved. It was a curious young seal that approached slowly; it was not about to be violent. You should learn a little more about wildlife... |

She's being a very good observer as well. She isn't using her hands to pat it or anything she's just letting it check her out. |

Most animals are like this (minus predators and some of the bigger herbavours), it's quite amazing. As long as you don't threaten them and you sit there quietly you can make friends and cuddle with an awesome squishy elephant seal like this >> |

Quite amazing. Look at the seal, she was just as enchanted as the girl was. Stuff like this really makes you wonder why people can treat the world and it's animals and environments they depend on like poo. (looking at you, BP)
Seals always remind me of one of my parents dogs. Big lovable curious things. You just want to take her (the seal not the girl ._.) home and keep her. Well I do atleast. |
