Monday, June 21, 2010 1:12:48 AM Siyanor: Wait, your legs are inpain after having your knees locked for three seconds?? Really? I stand normally with my knees locked. Doesn't bug me at all. I live in America, so it's definently not a sodium dificiency, so that means one of us is improperly wired. IAB, how do yu stand? (Both literally and in relation to the discussion) |

Sunday, June 20, 2010 9:17:18 PM @vampyre If you touched the -those- Australian women, who apparently spend a great deal of time working, I trust you were careful? Or should I use future tense? mneh... |

Saturday, June 19, 2010 12:49:03 PM Happy and Sihrtogg: The person in the picture is quite obviously locking his/her knees, and quite obviously has his/her legs together, feet facing outward. If you cannot see that, you are blind. If you CAN see that, but could not understand without my clarification that "that straight" means "as straight as that person is," you are utterly moronic. Sihrtogg: If you do not feel pain when you lock your knees for 3 seconds, you have a sodium deficiency or your brain is improperly wired. |

Saturday, June 19, 2010 4:00:50 AM @ Siyanor However you define straight, the position of the doll is not un-human. I might even argue that you can't tell from the picture that the kid's knees are locked, if it were a real kid. Which itself is obviously is also a ridiculous assumption, not because of the position, but because it's socially unacceptable and it's just a clever advertisement. Even if we put aside all that, locking your knees is not supposed to be painful when your feet face forward or even slightly turned in. I suggest you get yourself checked up. |

Saturday, June 19, 2010 2:55:36 AM @Siyanor: well actually I think we were all using the normal, everyday definition of "straight" which means that your legs are straight. Sorry if you were using your own special definition of the word and failed to notify us as such. Locking your knees is not a natural way of standing, of course it's going to hurt. Nobody stands like that. |

Friday, June 18, 2010 8:19:37 PM ...I'm guessing none of you actually know what I mean by "straight." I am not using it to mean "relatively straight," but to mean "knees locked in a painful position." |

Friday, June 18, 2010 7:54:56 PM Dunno. I can see the kid. So he isn't really invisible. The ad should read "Neglected children are made to feel like they're hiding behind some drapes." |

Friday, June 18, 2010 4:20:00 PM Siyanor: 'Alexander, if you saw someone stand that straight for SEVERAL HOURS, you saw a contortionist or a corpse.' well that would be a really drating lame contortoinist. and if i seen a corpse standing that straight id be running like a black kid from a cheetah, screaming 'ZOMBIE!!' and humans stand straight... thats one of the defining qualities about humans... seriously check out any guard worth his salt and hell be standing straight, or any child used in advertising, they stand super straight.. |

Friday, June 18, 2010 3:45:31 PM @Siyanor: what on earth are you talking about? People are desgined to stand straight with their feet facing forward. That's how our posture is supposed to be. I have spent hours standing like that during scouting ceremonies. Guards at Buckingham Palace stand like that all day. It's not hard. |

Friday, June 18, 2010 1:59:44 PM vampyre, do you stand COMPLETELY STRAIGHT WITH YOUR LEGS TOGETHER, FEET FACING OUTWARD? No, you don't, and you can't. Try it for even FIVE SECONDS. It's very difficult. |

Friday, June 18, 2010 1:33:43 PM Or someone who works in retail. I work as a checkout chick, and while it's not overly common, I've spent 4-5 hours on my feet at work. It's not pleasant, but I've heard of some of my fellow girls workings 6-7 hours on their feet. I know a couple of Australian girls who spend 6-7 working hours per day on their back... |

Friday, June 18, 2010 1:25:25 PM I was a neglected child. Which is good 'cause I come from a family of bullies so it was much better to be ignored than noticed! |
