People who think that that horn creates good atmosphere on a football game don't know a thing about football games or atmospheres.
It's the most annoying thing I ever heard and should be banned , or at the very least discouraged.

I like them, I think they make more of an atmosphere. FIFA's not banning them so yous are all just gonna have to get used to them.

I love them. They´re not even THAT bad (on TV, I heard they get nasty loud with up to 130DB in real life)and i see it as a kind of a cultural in-your-face move by africa to europe and america. |

These things are ruining me trying to watch France lose for what they did to Ireland.
I went to a Red Sox/ Rays game in Tampa recently and all the Rays fans had them, so I couldn't watch the Rays lose in peace.
They took over /b/ as well. |

The only thing more annoying than vuvuzelas is being forced to watch baseball. They need to ban them! These are not football games, they're vandalism! |

There of the same frequency of the human speech so they cant technologically be reduced without doing the same to commentators. But the Damb things are louder then a referees whistle.
Fifa considered banning them but they're an integral part of the South African Footie Culture, so decided not to....
But yes burn in hell Vuvuzela! |

yeah those things are pretty annoying... i think they also have them in the mexican league and other various leagues across south america.
I like the chants a lot better too. |

I really like hearing the songs each team's fans sing durring the games, with these stupid things, all I hear is that damned buzzing. I really hope that FIFA bans these. South Africa, its nothing personal, but shut the hell up, and let us watch the game. |

These things completely ruin the atmosphere of the World Cup. The atmosphere is part of what makes the sport and this tournament in particular so special, it can make games you don't really care about exciting, and in the early group games which are usually pretty dull its desperately needed. FIFA PLEASE BAN THESE NOW!!!
