Nah. This guy isn't a douche bag, or a douche nozzle, he is so low, he's the un-read douche instructions that no one pays attention to, good lord, really? did he just call all gay people pacifists? surzly, though, this is surz buzinez guyz, I don't want this guy, or anyone like him near my government :/ |

I think it comes of trying to fit everyone into one of two utterly seperate groups: either absolutely totally heterosexual in every way forever or homosexual. We're all trained to think that way, but reality is much less simple. |

Actually, mexican activists have explicitly called for the killing of white Americans. Have yet to hear an American politician call for killing either mexicans or homosexuals.
Also, it's too bad that the world is literally collapsing all around us, American kids are being killed in Afghanistan, rumors of more wars grow stronger, and yet the only thing that gets some people riled up is that not everyone is as excited about their sexual behavior as they are. |

so, a persons sexual orientation determines how good a fighter they are? hmmmmm me fails to see the logic in that. Course, that is Az and has to be about the most hate-filled state in the US...so really, do we care anymore what anyone from Az says?
AZ has lost crediblity as a state...

It's definately not ALL or ONLY christians that are gay bashers, I am christian myself but have no problems against gay people, I know atheists who are extremely hateful against gays as well. I think it is more based on that persons maturity than anything else. They do not realize gay people don't harm them by liking others of the same gender. |

It's time for Christians to realize that people's personal lives are just that... personal. If a gay person is willing to fight alongside me and risk his life for his country I'm fine with that. The same goes for all the other people whose morallity does not parallel my own. |

There wasn't really any such thing as 'gay' in Sparta, ancient Macedonia or, as far as I know, anywhere else at that time. The idea of a *person* being homosexual is quite recent.
Many Spartans, Macedonians (and Athenians, Romans a bit later, etc, etc) had homosexual sex, but that's not the same thing. It was a degree of bisexuality and it wasn't as free and easy as it's often made out to be today. For example, Julius Caesar was criticised and ridiculed for his alleged relationship with the king of Bithynia because he was alleged to have been too passive and that was seen as being unmanly. Whose genitals went where was considered important - it was not seen as equal. That's why younger Spartan youths had it up the bum from older Spartan youths and not vice versa - there was an element of relative status involved. |
