Monday, June 07, 2010 4:59:23 PM Another one is that if double yellow lines don't have a line at the end of them like this ===| then they are not complete and therefore you can't be given a ticket for parking on them :DD |

Monday, June 07, 2010 2:51:47 AM @ piiink1, "its more of if you didn't stop and you got a ticket you can get out of it this way" Well why in the hell would you be running a stop sign in the first place. If you can't see it to stop, you shouldn't be driving. |

Saturday, June 05, 2010 6:03:34 PM FYI... In Indiana, this is BS. Also, the police don't enforce traffic laws on private property. I think someone mentioned not having a license. Here, that's actually an arrestable offense, and can be enforced anywhere the person is operating a vehicle. Luckily, for the offenders, if you appear in court and don't have a history, they will take in under advisement for 1 year, then you're good. |

Saturday, June 05, 2010 5:06:03 PM how about you just stop so you don't run the risk of being hit by a car? |

Saturday, June 05, 2010 11:44:23 AM That's good to know. So, from now on, I'll stop my car, get out, look to see if there's a sticker, and if there's not, I won't stop...except...I already stopped...DRAT! |

Saturday, June 05, 2010 9:56:32 AM IkeRay, laws vary by state. If you are in California, you are flat wrong. Any parking lot that is accessible to the public falls under the same jurisdiction as the streets; police can and will enforce any and all traffic laws in parking lots. People - never take legal advice from idiots on the internet (myself included). These laws are published online, how hard is it to just look them up? |

Saturday, June 05, 2010 8:25:16 AM Wow, IkeRay, get your head out of your own ass. A rolling stop is a victimless crime if you don't hit anybody, which is kind of the point of rolling through instead of just not slowing down at all, to make sure there's nobody there. Much unlike murder...when you make comparisons, try to keep them reasonable. |

Saturday, June 05, 2010 8:19:30 AM Don't take legal advice from a entertainment website. Especially when it is advice about state law since every jurisdiction handles these situations differently. |

Saturday, June 05, 2010 7:10:00 AM "Where I live all parking lot signs, including posted limits and stops are legally binding." unless its a government buildings parking lot, then you're wrong. parking lots are private property and police have 0 jurisdiction over the stop signs, painted "STOP" on the ground, speed limits, and even accidents. Police may show up to a scene of an accident in a parking lot, but they cannot issue a ticket, even for offenses such as expired registration, expired inspection, no license, etc. the only thing the cop can do is point fault. "or if it's a very quiet road i will just slow down and then keep going." so just because you don't get caught its ok? like the speeders who slam on the brakes when they see a cop, if they aren't caught speeding is ok....(yes this may be extreme) but if you murdered someone and weren't caught, is that also ok? w/o laws and people obeying said laws, we have chaos but don't get me started on co |

Saturday, June 05, 2010 6:16:05 AM If they spent the money and effort to put up a stop sign, you should probably just stop... I have been accused of driving like a little old lady, though. |

Saturday, June 05, 2010 2:19:23 AM You: "judge I have photographic evidence of this sign not being a legally binding stop sign" Judge: "what are you talking about" You: "I saw this on i-am-bored.com that since there isn't a sticker I am not legally obligated to stop" Judge: "i-am-bored.com huh, *facepalm" something like that |

Saturday, June 05, 2010 12:51:02 AM This would only apply in certain states. You all do know that every state has different laws? Where I live all parking lot signs, including posted limits and stops are legally binding. |

Friday, June 04, 2010 11:19:18 PM Yeah. Like a judge is going to make a cop look bad on a technicality. Just stop. |
