This is a picture of a couple belonging to the "Maras 18" the world's most dangerous street gang. They are from El Salvador, members can't get until they are brutally beaten by other members and only after the applicant kills someone of a rival gang. Once they are accepted in they can never leave, that's why they tattoo their whole bodies. This couple is from a documentary on the "Maras" called "La Vida Loca". The documentaries' director got killed by the Maras after filming for "disrespecting" them. |
