Monday, June 07, 2010 3:30:49 PM "gorgack that's not at all true" It is. I used to do the Nice Guy act myself, until I read that comic and realised how deceptive it is. There's nothing wrong with being a nice guy of course. It's just wrong if you're acting nice towards a girl to try and get her to become your friend. It's something to do with girls classing guys as proper friends whilst guys, unconsciously, treat any attractive girl friends as potential mates. Befriending a girl, earning her trust and then revealing that you only made friends with her so you could try and hook up with her is a massive shot in the metaphorical balls for the girl. It's just best to play it straight and ask them out tbh, as the comic explains. Also thanks sbeelz even if I didn't make the comic. I read some of your posts on an earlier thread, you're an awesome person by the sound of it. |

Saturday, June 05, 2010 12:42:17 PM My credentials: I'm a writer that studies gender theory and sexuality. I'm in a community of sex educators who approach sexuality from multiple angles that are not only influenced by cultural constructs and hetero-normativity. Even us accomplished people get bored and waste some time on forums. I think it's strange that one person thinks that pursuing actual information about sexuality means your life is troubled. I also think it's strange that you bristle at anyone pointing out these links provide troubling and ill-informed advice. All I did was quesion "Girl's" authority. It's the same as if she were on here giving medical advice with no training. (And if you say it isn't, then you don't understand the complexity or seriousness of sexuality.) |

Saturday, June 05, 2010 11:37:09 AM @gogack2000 That comic was awesome. I can't tell you how many times I've had the same conversation with a friend and thought "If you were only being friends with her because you expected something in return, then you were never her friend." |

Friday, June 04, 2010 7:28:04 PM it's a sad day when it's weird for 2 people to not be living together when they are having romantic relations. |

Friday, June 04, 2010 4:27:13 PM I dont think shes cheating on him. i think he may be paranoid because he has had someone cheat on him in the past. It seems weird they dont live together, eventhough she is pregnant and they are engaged. Best thing to do is trust her, unless you find obvious proof, or a witness that she is cheating. You cant build a relationship without trust, dude. I think counseling will help also |

Friday, June 04, 2010 3:07:08 PM Ah, the "you don't trust me" cop-out. Get a paternity test mate. Or get all private investigator on her ass. Or just straight up ask her who the unfriendly guy is. And to all the "MOAR FUNNIEZ PLZ" people - this site is for relieving boredom. Humour is not the only way to do that. Things can be interesting without being funny. That's why we also occasionally link to current affairs and news reports. cagel: until you provide credentials, I'm not going to follow your advice and go to any other website. |
