@ obhwfgirl: Please tell me you're kidding. They have only been dating for months and then he decides to make a spectacle of a wedding proposal and she's the bitch?? She had every right to say no. He brought that humiliation on himself. First, how well can you know someone after a few months of dating. My engagement lasted for years before I would marry my husband. You know why? Because I wanted it to last. And obviously their communication is not where it should be because she was in total shock. Normally, couples discuss marriage and things BEFORE getting engaged. She deserves someone who has a little more maturity... |

hmmm....well..
as i chick i want to say that she didnt have to sit there and just look at him...it may have been easier to not say no on air, and then set him straight when they were'nt.
but........personally, i dont want anyone asking me a question like that on tv either. and certainly after a couple months..not that young. thats just wierd.
they're both stupid. |

WTF?? You're saying she should say "Yes" on Live TV then tell him afterward that she really ISN'T going to marry him, she just lied because of the cameras? And when his family/friends congratulate him and he has to say "Well, actually, we're not... she only said that because..."
How did SHE become the bitch here? I think she handled it gently and sensibly, without wanting to hurt him too much but still giving a truthful answer. She gets kudo's IMHO for the way she handled it. |

So what if he put her in an awkward spot? So what if it would've been insane to say yes? She should've just said yes to spare herself and the poor guy the humiliation. Then later she chould've told him the truth.
I hope that guy got a better woman than that. He deserves it. |
