I never said it was Friday Prayer, nor did I that this wasnt real based on people sitting around. Not in any of my statement what so ever.

Furthermore I also said in my statement, think Majority rules. Yes prayer is caught on camera for educational purposes and such, but for someone to be in a mosque ( especially during an afternoon prayer?) to randomly have a camera is not likely, and you know a stubborn elder would pitch the worlds biggest fit lol. But as even you said, most moques do not prohibit during prayer time, and I doubt this footage was taken for educational use.

Once again the gender is a discretionary issue. You nor I can prove this wrong or right.

The only aregument providing this not being fake is another users point that talks about a camera for the females, being that not all mosue have open backs, or balconies. But if this were the case, it would be on a tripod.

Additionally, there are plenty of occassions where you will come to a mosque and see people praying, shoulder to shoulder, with others sitting around not praying.

My assumption would be that this is not Friday prayers (if it was the place would probably be packed if it is anywhere in the ME). This is another day, this is probably a prayer room. This is probably one of the afternoon prayers. The guy in the corner is either finished, or the people standing are catching up on their prayers before the next Athan, and the guy on the floor is waiting. (Or they just missed the prayer time and are doing them late).

For a statement you make to DISQUALIFY this from being real, it needs to capture something that does not happen.

There is nothing here that does not happen. You will see this sometimes.

Hi Xatt.

When I said "Definately not true everywhere", it was a summary of "In my experience, this is not the case, I have been a member of various mosques in various countries and have had cameras in at least two.

Photography and videotaping is allowed in most Mosques with the general rule being "No videotaping during prayer time" specifically being w/r to tourists, because they act as a distraction.

Furthermore, how has anyone ever seen a prayer if videocameras are universally prohibited.

Clearly, the statement being made that it must be false because a camera is present, is not a valid argument".

They all look like guys to me. The "Hijabi" seems to be wearing a Kandoora and a jacket. Therefore at least not "clearly" female.

No, its true, there are certain palces where cameras are permitted. My mosque has it so the women can see the imam when there is a lecture, since they have a TV on their side.

However, its definitely staged because the camera is moving slightly, so someones holding it, and you can here a slight chuckle when everyone goes KAPLOOOEY

"Definitely not true everywhere. " Thats a weak argument :)Thats an master key argument that can be said to anything. Sometimes we need to let majority rule. You and I both know this would be very disrespectful, and I wouldnt see a brother or sister leaking it out for enjoyment. Im not saying I am right, but just for the sake..I am not totally wrong.

"The "Hijabi" you're referring to seems to just be a guy with one of the many head-dresses you don't get in the movies." This is a discretionary argument, it clearly appears to be a womanly female structural body, but this is something we could never know, but it seems I am not the only to think so. Also..being an active brother of the Bay County Islamic Society, visiting many mosque around the Florida region, I hardly think I would have to rely on movies. :) Peace be with you!

It could be staged, I mean why would he be filming it during prayer time (the guy would be praying), it wasn't security camera footage, and the guy sitting would also be facing the Immam even if he couldn't do all the action due to reduced mobility.

1) "Camera wouldn't be permitted". Definitely not true everywhere.
2) I don't see any women. The "Hijabi" you're referring to seems to just be a guy with one of the many head-dresses you don't get in the movies.

Looks pretty legit to me.

It's staged, camera wouldn't be permitted during prayers, and there is clearly a Hijabi shoulder to shoulder with men..if she is conservative enough to cover her hair..she would be conservative enough to to be seperated from the males..possible..but not likely in a mosque

Why is there a woman in there? Men and women are separated while in the mosque so either this is a very unorthodox group or fake
