You're wrong, friend. The only dairy cattle that are used for meat are young holstein calves, only a few months old. Slaughtered to produce veal. Any animal that is 4-6 years old does not have any quality of meat that is desirable. The beef you get in the store come from 7-10 month old steers, which are castrated male cattle. Dairy cattle produce milk until the day they die, whether it be from natural causes or euthinasia. |

Wow what pricks!! I can't believe people can be that mean and cruel to any living creature much less a helpless animal. I don't believe becoming a vegan is the answer to the problem though. Not to mention this is a dairy farm not a beef farm. I hope those guys spend alot of time in jail and the guards beat them through the bars like they did to those cows. |

I don't follow a vegan diet or even support PETA for that matter because of their ridiculous methods. But this poo just makes me rage so hard.
Arresting one or two guys isn't going to solve the problem, like previously mentioned. I think the best way to fix the problem is to have more oversight into these facilities and the actions of their employees.
I mean I can see a little shock or something at most, but for a guy to sit there and repeatedly strike a calf in the head or an adult with a drating crowbar, that's just sadistic.
But I mean come the drat on. These guys are abusing those cows just for the enjoyment. |

@mrshoneydew while you do make a great point i just want to say not all states are the greater for attacks agenst humans than animals in some states (mine included) hit and run for example if you hit a child and flee it can be up to 10 years where as if you hit a dog and flee it can be 15 |

For those who are claiming this is staged, can you please tell me how? Were the cows in on the act? Do you really think animals were abused to make a point about animal cruelty?
There are real names and real arrests. Of course it's meant to play on your emotions - it should play on your emotions. What kind of douchebag wouldn't be bothered by this??

However, will legal punishment change a person's state of mind? Probably not, but people like the man or men in the video should be punished nonetheless.
I didn't state I was an expert on anything. I'm just passionate person saying how I feel just like everyone else on here, but you targeted me outright for some reason. Please give things a little more consideration before you accuse people of something you might not understand. |

I'm not vegetarian but I do believe animals should be treated with respect - particularly the ones being raised for human consumption. The bottom line is that happy animals = a better end product. And numbnuts like these neanderthals need to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law - there is simply no excuse for treating any animal in such a cruel & barbaric way.
But I don't believe PETA is the way to ensure any of that happens. I lost all respect for PETA when they started collecting animals from shelters on the pretense of rehoming them, then euthanising them in the back of the collection van & illegally dumping their bodies in the skips of other businesses. |

I think you have sorely misunderstood what I was trying to say in that comment. First of all, where did I state that I did research? Second, how was I yelling "at people about animals rights"?
All I was trying to say was that the video was very upsetting to me and that I feel that legal punishment against animal cruelty never seems to be strict enough. If people were treated like this, the charges would be more severe. |

That said, I find the suggested solution to "eat vegan" a bit overboard. I can't imagine that it's common diary industry practice to falcon punch your cows. It's just not good business. |
