John Mackey (CEO of Whole Foods) also only takes home $1 in salary. He said it was because he had enough money already, but he makes plenty off of Whole Foods stock. At least that doesn't come out of company coffers. |

Lol look, I think i know what they mean by him getting 1$ as a salary, but other share options, they most likely take what they need for that year lulz and just wanna work at apple, cause it would be sick as drat to work there.
like for food and poo, sick gadgets, car once in a while, have there houses all built, so they can focus most money into the company and build better ipods or ipads. or macs n poo |

Its usually a public stunt or sometimes CEOs just want to set an example for the other employees, that they don't care about the salary that much. Steve Jobs and other $1 CEOs make millions $$ from bonuses and share options. |

FYI, Alpaca fleece can also be called fibre, but not as common a name.
A vegetarian may use animal products like wool as it does not harm the animal, much like how they may eat eggs. Some chose to eat eggs but drink no milk, some may eat no animal products but still wear wool. If they do not eat animals themselves, but still use (cruelty free) animal products, they are vegetarian.
A vegan uses no animal products what so ever. No milk, no eggs, no silk, no cashmere, no wool, no fleece. Did it come from an animal? If so, no.

You both need to look up your facts. Cocoons are boiled to kill the larvae FIRST. OR the larvae can be allowed to pupate and hatch, and the now empty cocoon used to make silk. However, since the silkmoth makes a hole to get out, the cocoon does not unravel in one single thread like a boiled cocoon, but many shorter pieces. Silk made this way is called Vegetarian silk, or peace silk. Almost all silk on the market it made by boiling the cocoons, to find peace silk you have to shop around, and will usually not find any finished products (sheets stc) made from it, only raw fabric (make your own!)
Zepher, alpacas grow fleece, NOT wool. Wool comes from sheep. Both are shorn for it. Angora wool and cashmere are from goats. Cashmere is brushed from special bred cashmere goats as they shed it |

@rheaonon silk and wool are by products of animals that don't result in the injury to them... silk works just make silk... and you have to shear the... is it alpacas? so he probably doesn't think of it in the same category as leather |

CEOs don't collect a salary because it takes out of their own companies' profit margin, so instead, they take the minimum amount necessary and live off of millions or billions in bonuses a year. Look around, just about all CEOs take a $1 salary, it's not a big sacrifice for them. |
