It would never work because of self-interest (Greed). The only cases in history where a population has escaped grinding poverty has been where there is capitalism and free trade. No society has ever taxed itself into prosperity, And no country can sustain itself where entitlement spending was over 40% of GDP (Gross domestic product). |

I agree with you on that point, but is it man's natural desire for more, or a desire forced upon us for millenia? How is it that more "primitive" species of animals, say, ants, have figured out how to recognize the "greater good"? You can call it instinct or whatever, but they have never been forced to pay rent, or taxes, or anything but provide food for them and the rest of their horde. and they get along just fine. P.L.U.R. is what it's all about. |

Oh and for the record, the United States is NOT a Democracy. Democracy, by definition, means mob rule. We are a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC. We, as citizens of this country, and our leaders, are bound to the constitution, and must uphold its values above all else. It is not a living breathing document to be interpreted. It is not ambiguous. The framers, our founding fathers, meant it to last for eternity. Not for it to be tampered with and torn apart.
It seems that this is becoming the truth of it though. It will soon be that it will mean whatever those in power require it to mean. Then we will be truly drated. |

Communism can only work in a Utopian society. Sadly that is not possible in our current age.
There will always be the need to strive for more. Men are not simply sheep to follow the rest of the herd. There will always be a Shepard.
True communism is peaceful anarchy. There cannot be a leader in communism, because then it is not true communism. Then it is Dictatorship, or Oligarchy.
There must always be some form of leadership, always. Be it a man, or a group, or a law. Without this, chaos will result, and another form of leadership will rise to keep the peace, and Utopian communism is lost. |

Face it.Democracy is never gonna work. Its is impossible, through "proper electoral process" for every single citizen to be satisfied with the government, but they still try, and fail. One policy pisses off one group, attempts to fix it pisses off another. The media is already trying to control what everyone thinks, why not give that decision to the public sector? |
