Friday, May 07, 2010 4:39:32 PM I always thought the Vulcan sign was from the Hebrew word "Chai," which is the same hand shape held palm down over your child's head while you pray, representing the word for "life." Especially since the Vulcan form means "Live long and prosper." |

Thursday, May 06, 2010 7:32:06 AM I already knew the one about the ta'al (the Vulcan hand salute). I'm a Trek geek, so I went searching Youtube for videos and there's one where Nimoy talks about it. :D |

Wednesday, May 05, 2010 8:34:43 PM Tommasso: the bull horn is still good luck, the article didn't say that it was bad, it said that you use it to ward off the evil eye. It said that you'd get beat up if you point it at a guy. It's funny, my mom first told me about the corna being also being used to represent someone screwing another guy's wife. |

Wednesday, May 05, 2010 7:31:42 PM ShizzamX, not all people can do the Vulcan salute. I couldn't until I started practicing it a lot when I was 8. |

Wednesday, May 05, 2010 4:56:14 PM The Pledge of Allegiance was made by a communist(or edited by a communist) and it's just a load of bull**** anyway. I hate it. |

Wednesday, May 05, 2010 4:30:02 PM OK, not true about the italian bull horns are bad... in fact, many italians like myself wear gold or silver charms that represent or are in the shape of a bull horn for good luck... |

Wednesday, May 05, 2010 4:04:21 PM My dad loved Star Trek so when I was a little kid I tried to hard to do Spock's LLAP gesture. I finally got it and because I did it so much my hands don't fully touch there anymore. My index finger rests snuggly against my middle finger, and my ring against my pinky; but, at rest, my middle and ring fingers always have a gap after the first knuckle. The end. |

Wednesday, May 05, 2010 2:47:17 PM Wow the Bellamy Gesture = Heil Hitler gesture. Awesome, not because I'm a Hitler-lover but because we actually used it in the US before WW2. weird! |
