Too bad there's no sound, I really want to hear those blasts.
I had sound :S maybe turn it up a bit? There was plenty of roaring and blasting towards the middle.
Anyway, I bet Peter Griffin is feeling pretty smug about his volcano insurance right now. |

Steelgrid: Did you see all that white cloudy looking stuff ? That's steam. Lava doesn't just explode on it's own, It can be spewed out from pressure, A collapse of the crater wall, OR water turning into steam. Groundwater and or an underground aquifer seeps in to the crater, it takes several seconds to heat up and then *BOOM*. |

Steam shockwave? No.....You can clearly see that after each shotwave that LAVA is bein spewed into the air....For the size of this crater the amont of water required to do this would have to be much much higher....Most of the ice has already been melted by the time this video was shot |
