i can never understand why people defend the whole tazering mentality. so he ran onto a field, the dude got tazered! where the drat are we living, soviet russia, nazi germany? what the drat really?! i have seen all kinds of people being tazered and never have i agreed with the practice. the whole practice has made law enforcement officials a bit to quick to the draw. i bet they sit back and laugh at the poor people they taze. seems like our whole concept of law is drated. you dont want terrorists interrogated to the fullest extent of our capabilities, but your okay with a 17 year old prankster getting tazered. seems like totally upside down America.

THIS is what tasers were meant for... making people think twice before being a dumbass. If people know that the consequence of running naked onto a soccer field is 15,000 volts, they have to really WANT to do it... and that's fine with me. I'll be chearing both for the perp and for the dude with the taser. It's win win. |

That's what you get when you run on the field. You have to show people there are consequences to their actions or else you're passively promoting that it's no big deal to do it. Players have gotten attacked by people running on the field, and there are some pretty psycho fans out there. Gotta think of the players' safety. If you don't want to get tased, just watch the game from the stands like a normal human being. |

I live in Philly. I just heard about this on the news. That was a police officer, and Charles Ramsey (The chief of police) has already said that he was within the law in terms of using his tazer. He went on to say that the officer had no way of knowing if the fan was, "Being stupid," or was up to something more dangerous. |
