Thursday, April 29, 2010 2:15:20 PM "what a dumb idea. something tells me that these people dont live long lives, because life is about survival of the fittest ( or smartest)" oh yes. very dumb to have a mathematical equation of some great significance on her back. just because it's something you would not do does not make them dumb. you sound like a rude person who argues about things they don't know. and fittest means, biologically speaking, those that produce the most offspring. not necessarily strong. not necessarily smart. they just don't get eaten, then they have babies, they are biologically fit to cast their genes onward. |

Thursday, April 29, 2010 10:56:11 AM Was it worth it? Eulers identity is the most beautiful mathamatical statement ever created! athis will get the attention of any nerd which sees it and it's the Kim Kardation of the math world (well, without the nudity or so on) |

Thursday, April 29, 2010 10:38:13 AM "Doubt that means anything what so ever to the bitch." maybe, but I'd hope that anyone who went through the time and pain to get this permanently etched into her skin would have some grasp of mathematics. Then again, a guy I know has the first 100 or so digits of Pi spiraling from his shoulder to his elbow and he never studied mathematics. It's still a drating sweet tat. I did study math in college, but I don't think I'll be getting any math tats- mainly because I've forgotten virtually everything I learned. |

Thursday, April 29, 2010 10:10:25 AM Epsilon, unit, imaginary unit, pi and zero - probably the four most important constants in math. There they are, all in a single equation. Can I buy you a drink? |

Thursday, April 29, 2010 4:44:23 AM Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm fairly sure this isn't a tattoo, but rather self-induced burn scars ... branding i think it's called ... pretty interesting though, to say the least |

Thursday, April 29, 2010 3:17:27 AM jamesuyt asked: "Why not just write e^i(pi) = -1?" It is a matter of beauty. Because, as mentioned by others already, e,i,pi,1,0 are fundamental mathematical constants. e - Euler's number, base of natural logarithms i - imaginary unit of the complex numbers pi - ratio of a circle's circumference to diameter (in Euklidian Space) 1 - multiplicative identity (multiplying with one does not change a number) 0 - additive identity (adding zero does not change a number) Why would nayone scar himself with a boring equation like e^i(pi) = -1? But then, why would anyone scar himself ...? |

Thursday, April 29, 2010 2:38:54 AM I think I'd get sick very quickly of having to explain it to people |

Thursday, April 29, 2010 1:45:05 AM Why not just write e^i(pi) = -1? Unless there's something I'm not getting? |

Wednesday, April 28, 2010 11:59:32 PM well it's a whole heap more original than skulls, flames daggers, roses and "mum". I would quite happily have that inked if I thought I could explain it..... |

Wednesday, April 28, 2010 11:47:41 PM this blows my mind. an irrational number taking to the power of an imaginary number and another irrational, and you get -1...tell me how that works... |

Wednesday, April 28, 2010 8:12:26 PM Ya know, stardagger, I agree. It's her body, she should be able to do that if she likes. I don't care for it, for me, but I'd like it better in ink... lol XD It is really well done though, I have to admit. |

Wednesday, April 28, 2010 6:06:57 PM @Spider sol The point of writing it this way is to show "the beautiful relationship between 5 seemingly unrelated numbers" according to my Calc. book This way includes 0 as well, which is a pretty important number. |
