"How about this one the are a bunch white inbreed foul mouthed closet homosexuals who will bash other homosexuals just to seem cool. Oh yeah and as I have stated before hand on other posts THEY ARE NOT FROM DETROIT they are from Technically Belleville, and the also got there ass beat for looking like Morons and trying to beat up kids younger than them to be cool."

They're from Berkley, get your facts straight before you try to sound smart. Technically part of Metro Detroit. Have you seen a map lately?

So, I know this thread is over but I have to say, as a Juggalo myself, I defend peoples' rights to express themselves in ways that aren't harmful to themselves or others. Juggalo facepaint is a slightly trivial form of this philosophy. This lett painted up creatively and in a way that makes people scratch their heads. Her design is a prime example of the evolution of expression. Y'all can think I make no sense or not even care, I just needed to see my thoughts put down on a screen.

I...just don't know how to react to this...at all. Part of me wants to say she's just joking...or at least, I hope she is.

JUGGALETTEx0 - We are entertained by ICP, or at least I am...but my question is: would this particular ICP fan be accepted at a concert for being a jackalope? Like, does that fall into the category of appropriate concert attire?

I still own a few older ICP cds. I thought they were funny until they tried being deep and pseudo-religious. When they started looking for deeper meanings, I turned to science and found understanding. Regardless, I would still smash that Juggalope ass…

"And the 10% of their songs that have deeper meanings just don't make up for it."

Only because you don't see the deeper meaning and the social and political commentary in the other 90%.

I can understand why these people would want to defend themselves. That's natural. But what I don't understand is that they affiliate their lives so closely to a group that is so vulgar and controversial, and then expect acceptance in society.

I used to be around a lot of people that called themselves "juggalos." I know what they believe in, or think they believe in, and I'm not saying they're ALL loud, violent, obnoxious, sexually promiscuous potheads. HOWEVER, this is what the public sees. And a lot of people, including myself, find a lot of what the lyrics mention to be immoral, regardless of whether they're jokes or whatever. And I don't think that's wrong of me.

And the 10% of their songs that have deeper meanings just don't make up for it.

When did I ever say I like ALL their music? Just because I'm a juggalette that has very little to do with my musical taste, they aren't even my favorite band...I've met some of the most amazing people in my life and if I wasn't down, I never would have met some of my best friends people I love dearly who I really do consider family...last time I checked, there was nothing wrong with having a common bond with people, and caring for others and being there for them...that's not a crime and that's what it's all about...it has VERY LITTLE to do with the music and more about the connections that you make with other people. One of my BEST friends, she's a juggalette but yet she doesn't even like ICP that much...you guys talk about it like you have an idea of what it's about when you really don't know. If it makes others happy, and it doesn't hurt you, then I honestly don't see what the problem is.

To be honest, ICP's music isn't THAT bad. It's no ACDC or beethoven but there's worse music out there. Some of their themes are actually quite original and aren't just the same "bitchez/weed/homiez" crap that most groups come out with.

Of course the fanbase is still abominable but yes, I do think that people over-exaggerate them a bit.

"dratin magnets, how do they work" may just be the single best line in any song to drat with people. Grats on all the people taking a clownface band seriously

And fitzyspider, using red text in a graphic is a sin against photoshop.

"Also, I don't pay for music at all. Does that mean all the music I listen to sucks?"

No, it just means as far as labels are conncerned, you're not listening to the bands you love, and thus, are putting them one step closer to not having a renewed contract.

I fully agree, I pirate music when it's something I don't know of. I'm not gonna pay for it if I'm not sure I want it or not. If it's something I know I like though? yeah I pay, and I'll continue too. I've seen to many good bands lose contracts from lack of sales not to support the ones I like.

And another thing: Insane Clown Posse is provably retarded. Motherfcuker disses scientists then immediately asks a question that a scientist could easily answer. Fcuking retards. Just cause you can't understand what scientists are saying doesn't mean they're 'lying.'

"Sales figures, generally. You can argue about genre, taste, complexity, innovation etc till the cows come home, but any meaningful definition of 'better music' must be 'music that more people pay for'."

So you're saying that music that appeals to the lowest common denominator is best? Because that's the music that tends to sell the most.

"Who says your music is better than someone else's?"

Quality of lyrics for one. There are levels where it's open to one's opinion (this is usually pretty broad-because genres are so stylistically different), but there are also levels where one artist or group of artists is factually superior in every manner regarding lyrics over another artist or group of artists.

In the case of ICP vs the majority of other professional music artists, it falls into the category of the latter more often than the former.

It's not just limited to Juggalo's either. People who wear Bob Marley shirts are going to have to deal with the fact that everyone naturally assumes that they are potheads. The same goes for white people with dreads. I myself had dreads, and constantly had to deal with people thinking I was high. I could suck it up (which I did for 9 months) or I could change my image.

You don't even have to make a change that drastic to keep people from assuming you're a retard. You just have to stop identifying yourself as a jugalette. Hell, you can even keep listening to those morons if you feel like it. But until you do, suck it up. Everyone is going to naturally assume that you are just one in a series of absurdly idiotic psychotic people. No amount of whining is going to change that.
