@soundchic41 Your right.Zoos are actually usually the top sponsors in wild life conservation. An example would be tigers and rare apes. True it is better for the animals to be in the wild but unfortunately because of poaching and habitat loss theres only a couple thousand left in some species.Like Tigers.Right now there are more tigers in zoos than in the wild.Thats because of there breeding programs which help endangered species become not so endangered anymore.

you didn't see this video a few years ago. this pup was born June 14, 2009. so, she's still not a year old. i watched her grow up! soo freakin cute.

the pittsburgh zoo houses over 6000 animals and 22 endangered species which are breeding. so before you open your mouth, read about what these zoos are doing to save species and release them into the wild. the animals are happy and well taken care of. also, youre basically saying thaat humans dont have the right to own a cat or dog or fish or bird. yeah. bite your tongue next time because obviously you dont know what zoos are doing for these animals.

I couldn't agree more... going to the zoo was incredibly depressing to me.

I like how mom just snatches him out of the water lol. Also is it just me, or was he shaking his head no when she was trying to coax him into the water?

Man, I hate to be a killjoy, but I hate to hear about animals "Born into Captivity". Yes I understand that for sake of conservation blah blah blah...

This is a creature who's natural habitat is the friggin' ocean, full of wonder and mystery and yes, peril, but these creatures have been engineered to survive that and explore that, and exist within that and this pup has been born to a life confined to a veritable puddle, bereft of stimulus and that one constant which we all desire, change.

It sucks, it's terribly sad and Humans don't have the right to cage animals and keep them for our whim or entertainment except perhaps in those cases where the creatures existence is endangered or they have been injured too severely to have survived in the wild.

It's amazing how much animals can do the day they are born. Humans can't do crap.
