I think the iPad could work if they did some useful peripherals for it.
A quick and easy docking station would be fantastic if it meant you could carry your computer around with you.
A light pen that could help with transcription services and presentation software.
An efficient multitasker.
A way that you can interface your back office with the product. It could revolutionize a dr.'s office and eliminate the need to pull files on a patient. Connect this with a way to pull patient history from previous physicians and you have something awesome.
An easier to use bt file transfer system, that could allow someone to share notes or pick up assignments from a professor and let him torrent the material to a class.
It's an interesting platform, but currently not really that useful. Especially since it doesn't support one of the main business file formats (.pdf). |

I used to use those things but I've found other things since then that are far superior. Like Blackberry, Archos Internet Tablet, Sansa Clip +, etc.
It's not so much that I'm anti-anything, it's just that I have things against companies that engage in false advertisement and aren't called on it. |

its supposed to be closer to a laptop, but that small and compact and all on a cool ass touch screen.... its ridiculous to have one now, but itll be really popular again after the price goes down... ill get one for sure... |

i still dont see the point of the iPad.
The iPhone: same thing as the iPad but smaller and compact
The iPad: bigger, not pocketable, same thing as the iPhone or iTouch maybe with more memory |
