Gotta admit, the Shat was pretty awesome. Although, speaking as a Star Trek fan, I have to say that Picard was way more awesome than Kirk could ever dream of being.

The command shirt was ALWAYS olive green. The color techniques used back then made it show as yellow on TV and in most photo's; digitally remastered copies these days generally have the correct color. |

I'd read the original appearance of the green tunic was in the episode where Kirk is split into good and bad halves to make it possible for the audience to differentiate between the two Kirks. And that was in season one. |

It was my understanding that after first contact, Earth united it's political systems and although there was some rebellions and societal purges that eventually the effects of free energy worldwide and the ability to materialize virtually any product ended the 'greed and want' cycle that had previously fueled human drives.

About a year ago, someone I know made a thoroughly convincing case that Shatner, all joking aside, may be one of the greatest actors of all time...
It really was a well thought out argument, which led me to believe he had WAY too much time on his hands. |
