Thursday, April 15, 2010 12:56:31 AM "I'd say he could do this. Take away all the video games, cell phones, dvds, bicycles and toys. Make them do the chores around the house too, Including making their own lunches. It's likely they'll run away from home and or call you a horrible parent to their teacher. When the social services people get there, Tell them they are brats and you're doing your best. They won't take the kids away, But your kids will have to learn self-reliance and respect. If the kids say "It's not fair", Say "Life's not fair, Grow up !"" Harsh, dude. But I can't say inaccurate... It's not exactly conventional parenting either... |

Wednesday, April 14, 2010 11:58:37 PM Okay people, in this context, state does not mean the same as Colorado or Ohio is a state. State refers to the government. Here's an example of this context, the separation of church and state, and here's a definition from dictionary.com-"the body politic as organized for civil rule and government. "It means a different thing. That is luk's point. |

Wednesday, April 14, 2010 11:56:00 PM Boomsie, a country is a state as well, just a different definition of the word. For example, "separation of church and state" doesn't refer to US states, but the USA/USA government as a whole. So, someone in Canada can have their kids taken by the state, referring to the nation/political body/etc. |

Wednesday, April 14, 2010 11:52:49 PM When he says the State he obviously means the Government, and luk is right, that could means almost any country in the world |

Wednesday, April 14, 2010 11:36:57 PM This is awesome. If He's lucky, the social workers will find this guys question, and use it as evidence to take his kids away. I think this guy is smarter than He's letting on. |

Wednesday, April 14, 2010 10:08:42 PM sounds like he's trying to make a point about the teacher who said something when the kid came to school w/o a lunch (don't feel like looking for the post...) he's better than that dad who after losing his job took a gun to his kids, his wife, and then himself because "he didn't want them to suffer through the depression" |
