no-one is perfect (nor do Catholics claim to be perfect) but the church shouldnt cover it up. just send him to jail and be done with it. the inmates will kill him anyway |

Pope bashing is as bad as any other bashing.
This ain't bashing the Pope, it's bashing the Catholic Church. Specifically, it's bashing the church's cover up of the literal sexual rape of children under their authority. Or should we not talk about that, seeing as it's "bashing"? |

Pope John Paul II made some pretty sub-saintly people into saints. I'll have to re-check for some examples, but he wasn't entirely that great as a pope. Better than Benedict, of course, but not THAT great. |
