thought i might as well add one final thought:
I'm not fat at all, and i'm not disfigured. and i can take a joke with the best of them. the reason i got riled is because i'm currently taking a class in which we talk about these sorts of issues. last week, in fact, we were talking about forums like IAB and others in which people can comment on different pictures---and what their thoughts indicate about society as a whole.
-shrug- i just saw what we talked about come to life. frankly i think the timing of the whole thing is sorta cool. |

I agree with the statement that Psych must be fat, but there's always the possibility she's just got a horribly disfigured face and gets offended by people making funny comments.
She may even be the woman in the picture..we don't know. |

AND, for the record, it makes sense that those who put others down are insecure about themselves--either that, or such cruel comments are so ingrained into our culture that it's natural.
Because she's overweight, that seems to give everyone just cause to make fun of her. This is not just about a picture, or about me, in your opinion, putting myself above others. look at the bigger picture here. look at what these types of comments represent--the cruel nature of our society to make fun of and ostracize those who don't fit in. I just think it's sad. maybe I should have said all this from the beginning, but eh. Didn't mean to piss you off. |

haha ACTUALLY, cobra, i look nothing like her. so good job :) Do I judge by looks, sure I do! It's human, we all do it. It's instinctual, really.
The difference between some of us and everyone else on here is that we don't call her names or say "I'd hit her with a car." Could she stand to shed a few pounds? Sure. Should she be wearing that bikini? In my opinion, no she shouldn't.
I'm not arguing that you can see her personality through a photo--she could be a complete b*tch for all I know. I just don't think it's right to call her names and say such horrible things all because she's wearing a skimpy outfit. If she were maybe 30 pounds lighter, no one would be saying such things. That's what gets to me.
I'm not trying to put myself above anyone here--I just get tired of seeing how cruel some people can be to others, even if it's just through pictures. -shrug- to each his own. |

psych, your full of sh*t. you cant see anything beyond this womans looks. you cannot see her personality in a photo. when it comes to a picture all you get is the physical appearance. if you can see her personality in this photo, then congratulations, you have a special gift that nobody else does. so, stop judging everyone on here, or hell the world for that matter, because you too judged her by her looks. but, since her looks somewhat mirror yours (im guessing) you automatically see her as a good person.
if i got to know her, it may be possible that i found her to be a wonderful person. but, since i do not have this ability, nor does anyone else on her, you cannot judge us for judging her on her physical appearance. im trying to be nice about this, but are really starting to piss me off. you come on here being so smug; talking about everyone else being judgmental, insecure, pretty much horrible people. while in doing so, you prove yourself to be the exactly the same |
