Friday, March 26, 2010 11:50:11 PM Whatever happened to regular dogs? Why does everyone have to have 500 lbs dogs that can rip cop bumpers off? Labs to 'gay' for ya? wtf?

Friday, March 26, 2010 9:38:34 PM Ya that is a Pit, they aren't as bad as people think, just stereotypes, and they "lock jaws" with the strong muscles in their jaws. Which is why they have huge heads |

Friday, March 26, 2010 9:35:16 PM Eh, its only playing. Sees the car as a toy. My pitties are the same. However, say they saw a human child as a toy? Yeah, dogs can be lethal (not only pitties, but any dog, these guys look like some kind of American staff to me). Hence why ours (i have two pitties) are locked up in a VERY secure and escape proofed yard (or in the house). Their sweet dogs, sleep with you on the bed and all if you let them, but they need to be kept securely away from situations they can cause harm in. Dogs that are potentially dangerous (whether actually aggressive or just playing like this fella) should be kept in a secure environment, for the safety of the dog and people. Actually, so should every dog. Theirs no reason not to have these types of dogs (i have them myself after all), their wonderful animals, but they need to be cared for and kept in a secure yard/house to keep others safe. ANY breed of dog should be kept in a secure yard to prevent escape and potential issues.

Friday, March 26, 2010 8:33:07 PM There is no such thing as a locking jaw. Pitbulls' jaws are anatomically the same as every other breed of dog. It's a physical 'want' to not let go, not structural ability. And I'm pretty sure this is an American Bulldog - not a Pit. |

Friday, March 26, 2010 7:50:21 PM Holy crap. Yeah I saw this on the news earlier. O_o;; Pretty amazing. Pitbulls are crazy dogs... They can just latch onto things so tight, and never let go. |

Friday, March 26, 2010 7:19:10 PM I don't care for dogs much, but even I can see that dog is playing a tug-of-war with the damned cruiser. The cop should have put it in park at the very least. I understand that the cop probably had somewhere else to be, but it couldn't have been that big of a deal if his buddy was sitting there filming this the whole time and speeding off to wherever. |

Friday, March 26, 2010 5:51:48 PM This is why people need to understand that pitbulls are more dangerous than other dogs. Their jaws lock unlike other dogs. ALL dogs will bite, but pitbull bites are FAR more severe. If you own a pitpull, its a great idea to ensure your homeowners insurance covers dog bits - and the costs of your legal defense. |

Friday, March 26, 2010 5:51:08 PM If the cop would stop driving back and forth and just turn off the car, then the dog would just get bored. The poor guy probably just thought he was in the middle of the best tug o war match ever. I have several pits, and like the pup in this video they tend to get a little over excited when playing. If the car had just stopped, the little guy would have probably just sat down and waited for the "fun" to begin again. |
