1) Not everyone who meets online is looking for a partner, and therefore has no reason to lie.
2) You apply it to "internet dating". You're "naive and dumb" if you think the guys you meet in bars, at school, at work, at a friend's gathering, or anywhere else are for some reason automatically truthful. This doesn't change online or offline.
3) A first actual date is pretty much assumed by all here.
The argument was "Get to know online" + "Have first date" + "Bang".
Yours then degrades into calling the "getting to know" part weird, but the banging a stranger part OK.
Basically, extra talking time is cool. Online or offline makes little difference. (If they tell you they are a 6'3" Adonis, you will catch them before you sit on their rooster). |

first off i think internet dating is lame and i dont care how much you've "gotten to know" this person online, Anyone Can Tell You Anything About Themselves. Doesnt Make It True Or Mean You Know Then Enough To Bang Them...How Dumb/Naive!
That being said...Say the first date with super awesome, funny, but not funny looking guy/girl is going well. Clicking all that good stuff. Why not go all the way ever now and then?...its the 21st century yall

The article says 11% of women have sex on the first date, which is an increase in what it previously was. So 89% of women are likely to NOT have sex on the first date.
Why don't we read the article before drawing conclusions and posting it?
That requires reading of statistics.

I think this is a lot different for online daters too. Before the internet, dates were used to get to know someone's personality before getting to know them physically. My husband and I met online and talked at least 2-3 hours (on phone or online) every single night BEFORE our actual first date which was over a month later. Once you know you are mentally compatible, share similar goals, and find each other attractive, why not have sex on the first date?  |

I'm failing to see the difference. Dating, as far as I was concerned, was when you went somewhere and hung out and talked and kissed and stuff.
It could be your house, their house, a restaurant, movies, etc. Anywhere. A date is something you go on and then potentially start a relationship with, and then continue to date until (perhaps) eventual marriage.
What the hell's a hookup? Hookups are something escorts and hookers do for clients, or something a drug dealer does for a buyer, not something two people do to each other in a non-profit relationship. O.o;; |
