Wednesday, March 24, 2010 6:20:30 AM mystreT: Cheers for the respect and that, and I appriciate your opinion, but the fact remains the fundamentals of science are based on theory. It's been proven by observation to be in existance but our understanding of it cannot be proven. FYI: Gravity is still a theory, we don't fully understand why we are glued to a mass, but it's the best explanation we have. Also Newtonian gravity as defined is not the entire story. |

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 6:18:53 AM Every thing in science is based a theory and becomes a law once proven..... EG your example gravity: An apple falling from a tree gave newton the theory he proved it and it became Newton's Law. |

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 6:10:20 AM joey7415963, I respect what you are saying but I must take issue with some things you say. Not everything is science is based on a theory. There are laws, such as gravity. Also, and more important, Therory in scientific terms is not like “I have a theory on who committed the murderâ€. The way theory is used in everyday life would be more equivalent to a hypothesis in science. Sorry but that really gets me when people say that. Other than that, I respect what you have said. |

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 6:09:34 AM LOL yea she's wrong for saying that but this is too funny to see how I-A-B's views on free speech take a 180 when something like "God is Dead" isn't being said. |

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 5:52:54 AM @Froggybuster Yeah, that's kind of the point. It's really disrespectful to step on a countries flag, even if you don't like them. I hate saddam hussien but i've never held a sign that said "Iraq is fag nation" |

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 5:39:49 AM @ lostinkorea: The stereotype of an American Christian she may be but you are the stereotype of a typical Atheist. I don't carry around signs condeming people to hell, the bible teaches that it's not our decision to make. I accept people to who they are and I don't "diddle" little boys. Yes, the Catholic church does have a problem with pedo's but then I reckon ratio-wise there are more murderes/pedo's outside of church than there are inside, purely because of the nature of the doctrines. There are plenty of Christians serving your country and in other countries. Now let me give you some insight, everything science has told us is based on a theory, I'm not disputing any of the theories but they may or may not exist. In essence you have to either believe in a structured universe that has been and will be in infinite existance and extent or a supreme deity that has been and will be infinite in existance and extent. Either seem illogical and ludicris! |

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 4:36:00 AM for celibacy. My husband, nephew and sister have all (and still continue) to serve our country though. And yes, even I, the ATHEIST, serve my country. I am in PeaceCorps as well; the thought. I don't understand what you think we are all about. But let me give you some insight. There is no heaven and hell. We are all we have. This is it. And that is the reason why I try and help those who I am able to help. There is no "supreme being" that is going to come an rectify this world. WE'RE IT! And if we are going to make it then we need to stick together toward a common goal. And that common goal is NOT condemnation and damnation for people who are different. Sorry, to burst your bubble. |

They are not even ordained none of them are recognized Christians. Look at all that freedom she is spitting on. Freedom that I put MY Very life on the line for in service to this country for 6.5 years. I am personally offended by this. She is atheist by the way. ____ Oh for drat sake, how can you say she's an atheist? Wrong answer my friend. She's your typical judgmental, "puritanical", damnatory and ungrateful CHRISTIAN. I am an atheist and proud of it. I don't carry signs condemning people to "hell" for their actions or whom they choose to love. You guys do that. I accept people for what they are. I don't believe in diddling little boys but it seems okay in the catholic church. Heaven forbid these men should marry, but drating kids is ok! Cause you know that bible of yours has a dogma |

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 4:06:41 AM You know, I'm actually rather glad the Westboro Baptists are out there; because when you encounter more moderate bigots (and they are the dangerous ones; the ones that slip in under the radar and actually influence people and cause damage), you can point to the Westboro Baptists and say "That's how ridiculous your bigotry is." |

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 4:01:53 AM That is just way too convenient of a picture. It would be totally believable if she weren't standing on a flag though, thats a bit over the top. |

And chances are her shirt wasn't made in america, it was more likely made in china, or some place that has REALLY cheap labour. Not because it's American, but because that's what businesses that want to make profit do. It is quite lolsworthy to see people get really annoyed about this. |
